Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

The dance clubs along national roads, chip shops, the administrative burden ... many references that belong to the cultural heritage of Belgium poetized here with cold humor, acid energy and low-tech aesthetic.

| Search | Add | 3 | Kathy Fleischmann | Allmusc: Massapequa, NY, native Kathy Fleischmann is a gifted singer and songwriter. She began learning how to play the violin in the third grade, but gave it up after a couple of years. She went on to study both guitar and voice in her teens. In 1989 she left her home state to move to Florida. She performed often around her new sunny residence, and became a main member of alternative groups like Big Tall Wish and Poetic Injustice. In 1993 Fleischmann took her talents solo on a self-produced debut, Anamorphosis. A year later she had a six-track EP, Speaking Guillotine, ready for release. Her next work was Sympathetic Coffee, released in 1996, which carries all of the tunes from Speaking Guillotine, and six others to go with them. In 1998, Fleischmann finished up another album titled Ten Doors Down. Her music, mostly original number, is a smooth mixture of blues, pop, and progressive folk. Fleischmann travels a lot, playing at clubs and coffeehouses. She has lent her vocal skills on a number of recordings released by other musicians, and opened for artists like the Mavericks and Roger McGuinn. Xs Magazine and Miami New Times have both voted her Best Acoustic Performer. For 2000 Fleischmann recorded Live from the Cutting Room. "Graveyard Dream Blues," "Wild Strawberries," "Concrete Blankets," "Manhattan," and "Figure 8's" are some of the tunes fans can hear her play live on stage, or find on her recordings. | |

Using mainly synthesizers to create constantly evolving sound, each Nada performance fluctuates between drone and pure waves evoking altered states of consciousness, daydreaming, sonic meditation and cosmic kitsch. The members of this ever-changing collective prefer to stay anonymous and meet at non-fixed intervals of time, indetermination being at the heart of their approach. Attilio Poto was born in Boston in 1915 but moved with his family to Italy shortly thereafter, returning to Boston at the age of nine. As a very young man, he played clarinet in a Festival Band in Boston's North End, in a WPA orchestra, and in Boston's Youth Orchestra, conducted by Koussevitzky's nephew, Fabian Sevitzky. At 24, Poto went to New York City to play in the National Orchestral Association, a training orchestra, and to study conducting with its conductor, [a=Leon Barzin], who had played under Toscanini and absorbed Toscanini's baton technique. In 1939 Poto was solo clarinet with the [a=The Metropolitan Opera House Orchestra] for all the German repertory. Upon returning to Boston in 1940 he conducted the Massachusetts State Symphony in numerous concerts before enlisting in the Air Force in 1942. He played in the 628th Air Force Band until resuming civilian life in 1946. That same year he studied conducting with Koussevitzky at [l=Tanglewood (3)]. In 1949 he was engaged as second clarinet in the BSO under [a=Serge Koussevitzky] and, later, [a=Charles Munch]. As such, he participated in some of Koussevitzky's most memorable performances: the great Strauss Death and Transfiguration, the legendary Brahms First Piano Concerto with [a=Myra Hess] (both fortunately preserved as airchecks from the respective broadcasts), and various commercial recordings, including Don Juan, the Siegfried Idyll and the Brahms Fourth Symphony. In 1950 he began teaching clarinet and conducting at the Boston Conservatory, retiring in 1992, after 42 years. He died in Boston on July 23, 2003 at the age of 88.

| Search | Add | 3 | Stuart Gasston | Singer from Sooth Shields, England who is partner of Nancy Hogg, [a2895576]'s Grandmother. The first thing he ever did,at 17, apart from shows at the Pier Pavilion, was when he was seen by Tony Martell, who offered him a spot on Golden Disc, which was a talent show from Tyne Tees Television. It was the launchpad for Stuart’s career, which saw him rub shoulders with the likes of [a57619] and [a480439]. Eventually, he was picked up by the Bailey organisation, which had The Latino nightclub, in South Shields. They had the biggest chain of nightclubs in the country. They took him on, became his management, and he did all their circuit. H worked with a lot of people such as [a16748] and [a254136], they had a very similar style. Following his success on the nightclub circuit in this country, Stuart started doing shows all over the world. Then he got involved with the cruise ships. The cabaret scene had died off a little, and he was offered work on the QE 2. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Keef Storm | Keith Robinson | Glasgow rave pioneer and leader of Desert Storm Soundsystem. HE was a mixed-race Celtic fan credited with founding the rave movement in Glasgow during the early 1990s. Keith Robinson was a leading member of the Desert Storm Soundsystem – a group of larger than life characters who organised free (and usually illegal) parties across the UK and Europe. Affectionately known as 'Keef', he led the charge as Desert Storm famously brought their beats to Bosnia as humanitarian relief during the Balkans conflict. At one party the front-line was a mere 10km away - they were asked to turn off their lights in case they attracted enemy fire. The group eventually becoming a significant pillar of the Teknival movement. After decades of championing the resistance against night-time curfews, a heavy-hearted post appeared on Desert Storm’s Facebook page announcing Keith’s death. The 48-year-old was said to have died taking his own life in the River Thames on September 18 last year. Desert Storm posted: “Tragically Keith Robinson ended his extraordinary and wonderful life in the River Thames on the afternoon of Sunday 18th September, apparently by choice. “His loving family needs time and space to grieve and come to terms with such a terrible and unexpected event. “They ask his many friends to share their sorrow and be patient for news until the circumstances have been better understood. The full account and funeral arrangements will be posted here as soon as possible. X” An inquest into his death will be held today at Poplar Coroner’s Court in London. Life of 'Keef' Albeit under a cloud of grief, Desert Storm celebrate 25 official years together this year. Their first rave – and Glasgow’s first illegal rave – is said to have taken place around 1991 in a disused warehouse near the docks. They said the event “was a great success with hundreds of people enjoying music late into the morning hours”. People were charged for entry, but “after some major trouble with local gangsters trying to control the door”, future events were made free. Followers will remember their continued defiance of the Conservative government’s legislative crackdown on raves, free parties and festivals throughout that decade. Acid house parties became the target of political repression in the early 90s, often taking residence in venues far away from residential areas such as squatted warehouses, empty military bases, beaches, forests or fields. This culminated in the 1994 the Criminal Justice Bill which outlawed such events, giving police new powers to stop them and seize equipment. The sound system delivered the soundtrack to a massive protest in London’s Trafalgar Square, which saw 10,000 people attend. During this event Desert Storm were approached by a member of Workers Aid for Bosnia, who asked if they would host a New Year’s Eve “morale boosting gig” in the war zone. Putting their own lives at risk they agreed, and set off that December with five aid convoy trucks, actually crossing the frontline as they travelled to Tuzla. The eventually arrived safely. During the gig itself, local police allowed the music to continue provided the lights were turned off, with soldiers dancing alongside local until the small hours. In a documentary tracking a journey to Sarajevo, Robinson said: “We don’t think that music is a luxury. We think it’s an essential. Yet it’s always one of the first casualties of war.” After Keith’s death, heartbroken tributes poured in for the resilient raver. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Gary Hector | Gary Hector (born March 11, 1963) is a singer-songwriter based in Trinidad & Tobago. Forming [a4916381] in 1990, Hector became a pioneering voice of Trinidad's alternative rock scene, writing his very first song, "Arrest Arrest," about the Jamaat al Muslimeen coup attempt which occurred that year. The song was released as a single in 1991, backed with the equally political "Red House." Its message, filled with references to the event, deeply resonated with local listeners through regular airplay on Radio Tempo. The band was also the first to have a nationally-broadcasted music video for their single, which was shown on Trinidad & Tobago Television (TTT). In 1993, the band signed with US-based indie label Nerve Records and released another single, "Bright And Early Monday Morning," this time sticking to broader subject matter about everyday life. Their debut mini-album, Localize It (a play on the Peter Tosh song "Legalize It"), appeared in 1994, compiling their previous material with new songs. Despite the band's following continuing to increase, Nerve Records folded, and Oddfellows Local disbanded in 1995. In 1996, Hector formed another band, [a4083858], creating a unique identity that blended calypso, punk, folk, and rock. Jointpop became Hector's longest and most successful endeavor, comprising eight albums and an extensive touring record across the Caribbean, US and UK before disbanding in 2019. Since 2020, Hector expanded his palate and following with his country-inspired solo album, National Trash, and has since released singles for his forthcoming album, Memphis Medicine. | |
