Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025

Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 My_Kayla Micháela Penn Hip-Hop has infatuated My_Kayla since her adolescence. Born Micháela Penn in Cleveland, OH the gifted artist wrote her first rap at age 7 which later led to a hobby of freestyling, poetry and songwriting. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Nicki Minaj she went on to drop the local hit 2bb, but eventually took some time off from music to focus on obtaining a master’s degree. In 2018 her comeback was a cover to Lil Wayne’s record Mona Lisa (feat. Kendrick Lamar) which she titled 'Set Mona Off'; the viral song is a no hook, bar -for-bar tale that distinguishes My_Kayla as a true lyricist and storyteller similar to that of J. Cole and Ms. Lauryn Hill. Building off the momentum, she released her debut album, The 20th Summer which was praised as “Perfection” by LA On Lock. Inspired by good kid, m.A.A.d city (Deluxe), the cohesive album tells the story of the rapper’s final summer home from college. It contrasted the fantasy of how she thought her summer should go with the stark reality of how it went, it is a grand statement about finding inspiration in the face of disappointment. My_Kayla's versatility attracted the attention of execs in the music publishing industry which led to placements with The Food Network, NBA on TNT as well as other commercials and trailers. In fall 2021 she released the single Toxic displaying a more melodic sound and redesigned production. Her latest single Dennis Rodman is projected to be her biggest hit to date.

Search Add 2 Vincent Stout Born in Baltimore, MD on June 25, 1976. My exposure to metal came early on. By the time I was seven, my older brothers had already turned me on to bands like Black Sabbath and Rush. And I heard of bands like Voivod, D.R.I. and Metallica through schoolmates. From there I moved on to Slayer, Possessed, Death, C.O.C. etc... I got my first drum kit for Christmas when I was nine years old and learned how to play For Whom The Bell Tolls (Metallica) that summer. From that point on, I never looked back, and drums have remained in my life ever since. My style is influenced by many different genres of music, including jazz, funk, classical, folk, r&b, be-bop and more. However those are just the branches on the tree, the trunk is all metal. I began playing in bands almost immediately and would continue to until my mid twenties. The most notable of which was a band named Chemical Dependency out of Essex, MD. After that, I met my wife and started focusing on stable employment and although drumming never left my blood I had to put the sticks down for awhile. My current projects are the band Caught, and my solo project Farmacyde. Some of my favorite bands are: Black Sabbath, Rush, Death, C.O.C., Crowbar, Biohazard, Sepultura, Return To Forever, Buddy Rich, Charlie Hunter, Cream, Primus, The Dubliners and many more.

Search Add 2 Melangia The name MELANGIA translates as "melancholy" in our native Catalan tongue. et me introduce you MELANGIA, a project based on an old composition of a very well known Death metal band here from early 90's called Mortal Mutilation (RIP). The song which composes this exercise so called "Rèquiem", was originally composed in 1994 for that band, but never recorded until now, with a text in Catalan and 3 original members behind. Those members have passed through other very well known bands here, as Argar, Atman, Spectre or Grim Funeral. Now, under NEGRE PLANY, the new sublabel created for the slower doomish sounds by Negra Nit distro, we see finally released this 7 chapters piece in 1 single track on a limited Digipack edition. Mine is the pleasure of adding the vocals and bass to the whole piece, with lyrics in Catalan. Thrash’et - Drums Darshan - Lead & Rhythm Guitars Carlos - Lead & Rhythm Guitars, Effects Fiar - Vocals & bass

Search Add 2 Peter Ritchie Calder Peter Ritchie Calder British writer Ritchie Calder narrated a 1955 album “Science in Our Lives” presented as various “observations” about how science relates to man and how we organise the world. Calder was a socialist and peace activist, and was interested in the public understanding of science and this rare album presents a very “human” view of science. By contrast, Calder's voice is disarmingly robotic as sampled on the track "Human Spiritual" from the 1996 self-titled album by Mockingbone, which credits him as vocalist: "Create a better world for mankind... enlarge the human spirit".

Search Add 2 Diplomatic Immunity They had their last concert 2018 June 27 at the Oslo Pride. The band included: Artur Wilczynski: Artur «Stix» Wilczynski is Canadas Ambassador to Norway and the groove behind Diplomatic Immunity. He spent the early 80’s banging out punk tunes in a garage band in Montreal. His biggest musical influence is Animal from the Muppets. Randy Stocker: Acoustic/rhythm guitar, vocals; Government of Canada employee by day, aspiring balladeer by night. Jim DeHart: Deputy Chief of Mission/Charges d’affairs at the US Embassy Oslo, has played in a string of mediocre rock bands throughout his 24-year diplomatic career, including «Rogue State» and «Taliband» during his time in Afghanistan. He is known for his laconic guitar style, with riffs so amazingly slow they defy the laws of physics. Ørjan Tverbakk: Motor Pool Supervisor at the U.S. Embassy, 15 years and counting in US State Department. Started his first punk rock band in 1979 and has never really stopped. Previous experience from bands like «[a1553914]» with their monster hit «Lesbian Toe Suckers» landed him the «Diplomatic Immunity»-gig. Self-proclaimed bassmeister and rock’n roll-instructor. Erik Skøld: Actor, teacher and Artur’s Personal Trainer. Has been deeply involved in dubbing and voice acting for over 20 years.

They played at "Willie's" on Whitney Avenue. When Tom, Yetta and Bob joined the service, they were replaced by Woody Valiant, Vic Foquet, Ronnie Barrosse, and Carroll Freeman, who was later replaced by Eddie Hynes and "The Fidelities" were formed. Besides playing at the V.F.W. in Westwego and "Noses" Lounge in Gretna, these guys won many battle of the bands. In 1958, Carroll, Woody, and Billy joined Bobby Lonero's band with J.V. Cheramie, Carroll Boudreaux, and Johnny Bonvillain. Billy served 4 1/2 years in the army and after his discharge, he played with "The Stokes," who first recorded "Whipped Cream" written by Allen Toussaint, which later became a big hit for Herb Albert and the Tijuana Brass. He also spent some time in Killeen, Texas in Ike & Tina Turner's band. Billy also recorded "Yuka Chuka Tee Ta Ta" on the Tower Record label under the name of K. C Russell. In early 1971, Billy played at the Cellar Club in Gretna with Mel Douglas, Carmen Vaccaro, and C.J. Cheramie. Then in July of 1971, Billy opened The Round Table with the "New Orleans Levee Board" whose original members were C.J. Cheramie, Sidney Snow, Barabara Galle, and Billy. Later Sidney was replaced by Danny Hebert. Also during 1973, 74 & 75 Billy and Tracey Charles were owners and general managers of the Gretna Bengals, a semi-pro football team. In 1976, Billy opened the Fat Cat Club on Gretna Boulevard. The Celebrity Club was opened in 1988, with Billy, Danny Hebert, Walter Barrilleaux, Steve Marco, and Judy & Sheena Anderson. Then in 1991, Billy crossed the river to Bourbon Street and opened Jelly Rom's with his big band. While Al Hirt was performing upstairs, Allen Robinson, Doc Paulin, Ronnie Boudreaux, A.J.
