Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Ron's Neighbours | Formed during the mid-80s in the downbeat town of Walsall, their music a blend of disparate influences from 50s crooners, blues and reggae to Killing Joke and The Bunnymen; Ron’s Neighbours were out of step with the perfect pop of the C86 indie generation. Their only single - “To The Fight” – a split 7” was supported by the Trade Union Resource Centre, while many gigs were benefits for striking miners, leading to a loyal local following. Engineered by Ozzy Osbourne’s brother Tony, tracks were recorded at an 8 track bedroom / home studio, while a terraced house served as rehearsal space. When a tape recorder was left running it captured the long-suffering neighbour for posterity. His outburst gave the band and song, its name. Here Ron Next Door was born. The song was finally released almost 30 years after recording in Original, Alternative and Dub mixes across 7" and compilation LP.

Search | Add | 2 | Peter Sando | Singer/Songwriter, Peter Sando emerged in the late 60's from the band Gandalf, formerly the Rahgoos prior to the LP release, appearing at various New York clubs such as "The Phone Booth", Scott Muni's "Rolling Stone", "The Electric Circus", Murray the K's "World", and the legendary "Night Owl Cafe" in Greenwich Village. It was there that he met songwriters Garry Bonner and Alan Gordon ("Happy Together", "She'd Rather Be With Me") who brought the band to the attention of record producers Koppelman & Rubin. K&R signed the band and immediately started work on the GANDALF album which was released on the Capitol label in 1969, with two songs penned by Peter. "Can You Travel in the Dark Alone" was a favorite of the late Allison Steele, "The Nightbird", on WNEW-FM New York, who would introduce it with a lengthy dose of her inimitable psychedelic poetry. Unfortunately, the band broke up in 1968 before the original LP was released. At that time Peter again teamed up with Bonner and Gordon to sing lead on two singles including their "Dance at St. Francis" as the Barracuda on RCA which charted briefly in 1968. Recent solo albums include Creatures Of Habit (1999), Afraid Of The Dark (2014), and Let There Be Love (2015).

Search | Add | 2 | Vito Frazzi | Vito Frazzi (1888–1975) was an Italian composer and music educator. He taught piano, harmony and counterpoint at the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory from 1912 until 1958. During his tenure at the Florence Conservatory, the composer established a friendship with [a=Ildebrando Pizzetti], a director of the conservatory in 1917–23, who influenced Frazzi's compositional style. Vito also taught at the [l=Accademia Musicale Chigiana] from 1936 to 1963. Some of his notable students included [a=Bruno Bartolozzi], [a=Bruno Bettinelli], [a=Valentino Bucchi], [a=Luigi Dallapiccola] and [a=Angelo Francesco Lavagnino]. Frazzi had been using an octatonic scale of alternating tones and semitones in his works extensively. He became one of the first composers to explore it and wrote two manuscripts, Scale alternate ("Alternating scales") in 1930 and I vari sistemi del linguaggio musicale ("The various systems of musical language") in 1960. Apart from symphonic, choral and chamber compositions, Vito Frazzi wrote a few operas. Re Lear, which is loosely based on [a=William Shakespeare]'s King Lear, was created in 1922–28 but not performed until the late thirties. He completed Don Chisciotte opera and wrote a libretto for it (derived from the Don Quijote by [a=Miguel de Cervantes] and [a=Miguel De Unamuno]'s Vida de Don Quijote y Sancho) between 1940 and 1950. It was premiered at the [l=Teatro Comunale Florence] on April 28, 1952. Frazzi destroyed the score of his opera L'ottava moglie di Barbablù ("Bluebeard's eighth wife") after its premiere at [l=Teatro Della Pergola] in Florence in January 1940, and the work remained unpublished.

One of his first tracks has been registered in 2017 on his mobile – this can be considered as start of the music project. Active creation began after that and was based mainly on field recordings, experiments with musique concrete, noise and sampling. Over time, after accumulating huge amounts of materials he started to work on his laptop and edit sounds in DAW programs. Right after starting to work with music he came up with many ideas and along with the acquired experience a fruit of his work appeared – his first album named Prisoners of their own bodies. It was released by the label situated in Kołobrzeg – Plaża Zachodnia |

Search | Add | 2 | The Darryl Read Group | The Darryl Read Group | The Darryl Read Group were a British glam rock / pub rock / proto punk band in existence between 1975-1976 featuring Darryl Read (ex [a2616523] & ex [a1669821]) on drums / lead vocals, Stevie Forest (ex [a1052756]) on lead / rhythm guitar, & Charlie Harty (ex [a20700]) on bass. The group acquired a publishing deal with Kenny Baker of Famous Chapel Publishing and recorded a handful songs at Tin Pan Alley Studios in 1975 & Polydor Studios in 1976. [a302020] at EMI Records turned down the group for a record deal and seven months later ended up signing the [a31753]. Some time later Darryl Read & Charlie Harty (through a ruse as record label employees) absconded with the master tape reels of The Darryl Read Group studio demo recordings. After the break up of the group Darryl Read would later start a solo career releasing his first solo record in 1980. |

Search | Add | 2 | The New Day Country Band | A progressive bluegrass band from Asheville, North Carolina, this group featured banjo picker Marc Pruett, who later became a solo artist and nationally-known performer. The full band was Richard Carpenter on drums, Wayne Carter (rhythm guitar), Earl Cowart (guitar), Boyd Dills (guitar), Mike Hunter (mandolin), J. B. Passmore (bass), and Marc Pruett on banjo and dobro. At the time Pruett ran a music shop in Ashville, while Cowart lived in nearby Franklin. Pruett cut his teeth as a performer playing bluegrass music in western-themed amusement parks such as Ghost Town (in Maggie Valley) and Franklin's Gold City; later he landed a gig with the Jimmy Martin band, which placed him on ahe national stage. I'm not 100% sure, but I think this was Pruett's first album.

Search | Add | 2 | The Secret Church Orchestra | Nouveau projet d’Ollivier LEROY (alias Olli &The Bollywood Orchestra), The Secret Church Orchestra propose un univers musical unique et moderne d’une grande finesse.
