Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026

Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 Frozen Silk Band info (Info state 11|2020) FROZEN SILK - that's hot and powerful power rock from Bremerhaven, which is its personal genre defined in a thrilling mixture of catchy pop elements and grooving heavy hard rock! This impressive stylistic variety is supported by the characteristic voice of the front woman Sharon Wynne, who captures the full range of deep emotions with her expressive singing, from pure energy and willpower to deep melancholic abysses, brought to life. Biography: FROZEN SILK was founded in 1997 under the name "SILK" in Bremerhaven and was able to convince its audience and critics with numerous performances in its debut year. After the band won the renowned "Live in Bremen" music contest in 1999, they presented their highly acclaimed debut album "Power" the very next year, which was released under the now extended band name "SILK 99" on the Superrock-Records label and subsequently pre- sented live on a nationwide promotion tour. After more than 100 equally successful and ex- hausting performances, the band members decided in 2006 to go their separate ways and pursue their own projects. Fortunately, this decision was already revised in 2011, so that a new chapter of the band was opened under the name FROZEN SILK with only slightly changed original line-up. Since 2011 FROZEN SILK has been a constant guest on regional and nationwide stages and has made a more than good name for itself as a rousing live act. The band not forgets to transmit their musical power to the audience again and again, but also to demonstrate their qualities to critics, editors and presenters. Since 2018, the four musicians of FROZEN SILK have also been retreating into the studio again and again to work on material for a new album in parallel to their live activities. The re- lease of "Back to life" is scheduled for spring 2021. Line-Up: vocals - guitar - bass - drums - Sharon Wynne Normel Müdeking Rolf Lange Christian Schmutzer Highlights so far since 2011: - Deichbrand open air festival in 2017 - Final Emergenza music contest (Hamburg/Markthalle) in 2016 - Support Stahlzeit (Maerzfeld) in 2015 - Shows in the London YouTube-Studios and at Alley Cat (London) in 2014 The stage has been shared so far with a.o.: Kleinstadthelden, Stahlzeit (Maerzfeld), Terrorgruppe, Hurricane Dean, Anchors & Hearts, She ́s got Balls, Faak Marvin, Rauschenberger u.v.m. Search Add 3 George Heid III George Heid III George Heid III is a drummer, percussionist, and composer whose diverse musical passions range from jazz, funk and classical to world and electronic genres. George Heid III grew up in his father’s recording studio and began playing drums and piano at age 3. His earliest lessons took place at home with his father, George Edward Heid—a great musician and true champion of the music. In this environment, he was always immersed in music and surrounded by powerful musical influences, such as jazz guitarist Jimmy Ponder and his uncle Bill Heid, a world-class pianist and Hammond B3 jazz musician. Those formative years laid the roots of George’s musical journey. By age 10, George was attending classes at the Afro-American Music Institute, studying with Thomas Wendt and James Johnson III. Later, he graduated from Pittsburgh’s Creative and Performing Arts High School, where he was mentored by jazz drumming legend Roger Humphries. After high school, he attended Pittsburgh’s Duquesne University as well as the State University of New York at Purchase, where he studied with master jazz drummers Kenny Washington, John Riley, and Richie Morales. George has toured and played at numerous notable jazz venues across the United States and China, including three multi-month residencies in Hangzhou, China. He has recorded with numerous well-known artists, including Bill Heid, Roger Humphries, Dwayne Dolphin, Paul Thompson, Steve Shehan, Jamey Haddad, Joe “Sonny” Barbato, Victor Provost, Warren Wolf, Arsen Petrosyan, Daniel May, Antonio Croes, Ron Blake, Henry "The Skipper" Franklin, Sean Jones, Bob Reynolds, David Budway, Orrin Evans and his Elevations bandmates, Brett Williams, Anton DeFade, Michael Stephenson and Benny Benack III. He’s also performed at numerous festivals, including the Monterey Jazz Festival, Pittsburgh JazzLive International Festival, Tri-C Jazz Fest Cleveland, Washington Jazz Festival, among others. George is the recipient of numerous awards as both a performer and composer, including the The ASCAP Foundation Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Award, Downbeat magazine’s 2013 Best Original Jazz Composition award, and back-to-back Outstanding Soloist awards at the Monterey Next Generation Jazz Festival awards in 2011 and 2012. George currently leads groups under his own name and performs with The Precipice Community Band, Arcadia, The Dwayne Dolphin Fo'tet and Paul Thompson's Wayntet. George also serves on the board of Lighthouse Arts, Inc., a nonprofit founded by his father, George Edward Heid, and Dr. Harry Clark. Lighthouse Arts is a passionate collective dedicated to restoring jazz’s central place in American culture through artist advocacy, education, and high-level performance. With deep respect for the music’s history and a commitment to its future, the organization works to preserve jazz’s legacy, support the artists who carry it forward, and connect communities across generations through dynamic programs, partnerships, and outreach.

Search Add 3 The International Blues Duo The International Blues Duo was founded in 1982 on Chicago’s North Side when Gary Wiggins moved to Chicago from Detroit and Christian Rannenberg just arrived in Chicago from Germany. After a jam session at the Kingston Mines Club the two realized that together they had an interesting energy and sound. They decided to create The International Blues Duo and immediately started working the north side blues clubs such as B.L.U.E.S., Kingston Mines, Lillies, as well as performing with Lefty Dizz, Sunnyland Slim, Johnny Littlejohn, Sam Myers and many others on the Chicago blues scene. After one year of living and playing in Chicago, Gary and Chris joined the Lefty Dizz Band for a 21 day tour of the Scandinavian countries. Once they were on the European continent, they agreed to relocate to Germany, where they became an immediate sensation. From 1983 to 1990 they toured and played blues festivals, blues clubs, did radio and television shows. They recorded three LPs and invited many musicians to tour Europe with them such as Johnny Heartsman, Johnny Copeland, King George, Charlie Musselwhite, Angela Brown, Jeanny Carroll and Big Jay McNeely.

Search Add 3 Breitenbach BREITENBACH is a rockband. A german rockband with english lyrics. Founded in 2009 by Toby Breitenbach in Frankfurt, who originally wanted to record and release a solo-album with the support of Pogo TS and Robby Siemens. During the first concerts using the name BREITENBACH, the solo-project transformed into a real band, which lead to the release of their 2011 debut-album Starting Over. The rock-trio released the singles Sail Me, Waiting, Follow Me and To Eternity, played club-tours with international bands such as Dance Gavin Dance and Anberlin and finished the year 2012 with the release of their second album ready when you are. Following that release was another successful tour with the south-african super-rockers Prime Circle, summer-festivals, concerts and the 2013 unplugged-EP All The Way. In 2014 the band took a big break, which ended in 2018 with a new flow, new songs and guitarist Tim Kosack as the new band-member. In May 2019 BREITENBACH released the single Pretty Little Things and on September, 13th the EP On A Flow with the second lead-track Supersonic Fire.

Search Add 3 Mulga Bill's Bicycle Band Mulga Bill’s Bicycle Band was perhaps the earliest, large, full time, Australian ‘folk revival’ band ("Mulga Bill's Bicycle" is a poem written in 1896 by Banjo Paterson in 1896). It began in 1970 as an offshoot of The University of Melbourne Folk Club and played first as a nine-person group in Swan Hill, Victoria in August 1970. Most members of the initial band were at that time students at the university. Over the full course of the band’s operation between 1970 and 1978, a total 20 members were at some stage part of the band. Only three original members: Tony Britz, Liz Eager and Barry Golding were there at the start and also at the end.

Search Add 3 Masha Dabelka Mariya Aleynikova My artist name is Masha Dabelka, I grew up in a strange eclectic fast developing place called Novosibirsk, Russia. After finishing my classical music education, I came to the idea to organize a series of proper underground techno events on the sites of brutalist post-soviet architecture, which gave me numerous abandoned warehouses to realize my cultural projects in Siberia. While organizing different events I collaborated on apocalyptic techno-punk sound and performed live as well and explored half of the country with DJ and live sets. At some point, I moved to Austria to get some additional experience in Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. I like to play with borders between academic and non-academic, pop and underground, original and borrowed, preservation and sharing, old and new, serious and funny. I work with artifacts and conduct artistic and theoretical research on cultural phenomena of the past. In short words, I produce cinematic music, spin some music discs at the edge, confront ignorance and fill the space with vibration.

Since she was 10 years old, winning cartons of RC Cola singing with brother Cloys Webb at the Paramount Theater in Amarillo, Texas, music had been a vital part of Floy's life. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1948 and attended Amarillo College. At Amarillo High School, where she was voted Senior Favorite in 1948, she performed with a special quintet, Four Hits and a Miss, in addition to the choir. A year later, while being named Miss Amarillo College, she started singing as a soloist with several area big bands. Shortly after marrying Ray, she reached the final plateau of auditions on the famous Arthur Godfrey Talent Scouts television show. As her family grew, she turned her talents to Amarillo's Sweet Adelines, where she was a charter member, and sang women's bass in a number of quartets. She also utilized her beautiful, God-given voice with the choir at Paramount Baptist Church, where she was a charter member. Until she was physically unable to perform with the choir, she often was called on to do solos in church services. In addition, she was involved in many evangelical crusades in the U.S. and around the world, singing for the Lord.

Search Add 3 Rufino The Catalan Casanova Phillip Branson An engaging and charming Black Sea Gentleman with the skills of entertainer, violinist, card dealer, escape artist and distorter of truth. Excerpt from THE HISTORY OF MIKELANGELO AND THE BLACK SEA GENTLEMEN: For decades the group toured Europe and Asia Minor receiving ovations and accolades. All was well until the sudden and tragic demise of the beloved Senor Handsome on the eve of the groups’ debut at the Kirov Opera, St. Petersburg. Though details remain shrouded in mystery, it is believed he was thrown from his horse while hastily leaving the residence of one of his many lovers…and in that awful moment it seemed that the Black Sea Gentlemen would be no more. Despondent, the Gentlemen left St. Petersburg and made their way to the Bulgarian Black Sea town of Varna, hitting the drinking houses to drown their collective sorrow. It was in a particularly seedy gambling den, at some unfathomable hour, that the Gentlemen lost all their worldly possessions to a sly young Catalan Casanova named Rufino. The inveterate gambler and confidence man was bemused at having won himself a piano accordion, a clarinet and a kontrabass, and announced, ‘I once swindled the devil himself for his infernal violin only to lose it in a card game a few days later, all I have left is the bow!’ Half mad with grief and drink, Mikelangelo then brought out the last thing the Gentlemen had, Senor Handsome’s violin, and placed it on the gambling table. Instantly, tears welled up in the eyes of Rufino and he began to shake quite uncontrollably. Calming himself with a walnut brandy, he opened the case, gently picked up the instrument and played a lament so heartrending that the whole room fell silent. He then cleared his throat, ‘my friends, this was once my brother’s violin, just last night I dreamed that he died, tell me this is not true.’ The Gentlemen all stared into the eyes of Rufino and saw that same fire that had danced in the eyes of Senor Handsome, and in that moment they knew that he too was a Black Sea Gentleman.
