Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025

Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

La Discoteca is not afraid to tell you that yes, a bit of nostalgia for those years has it, but of those that on the face make the smile appear, and in the legs still a lot of desire to dance.

Search Add 2 فاطمة تيحيحيت Fatima Moujahid Fatima Tihihit Moujahid, whose real name is Fatima Moujahid, as her name suggests, is from the Haha region in the western High Atlas. She started singing professionally in the early 1970s. We met that she was married several times by her father very young and in spite of herself. She ends up divorcing to join the troop of Raïs Jamaâ El Hamidi then of Raïs Lhaj Mohamed Demsiri before forming her own troop. For the fourth time she got married, this time giving up the life of an artist. She recorded her first album with the song "Ur gigh a Baba Tamuzunt", Fatima Tihihit Moujahid begins by reproaching her father for treating her like something that is bartered. His protest is aimed in particular at the way in which he sees their report. She reminds him of his true nature as a human being that requires a different kind of relationship. Ignorance of the true nature of beings can have dramatic consequences. The constantly threatened woman (ittawhuwwal) and whose only fate is humiliation (tadallit), heartbreak (attan) and dread (lhuf), lives a hell described minutely by the singer. Raïssa Fatima Tihihit Moujahid, the most popular of Souss owes her success to great old songs like "Arka Yalla lmaswak", "Lhob D Lhawa", "Ah Alitchin", "Ayamarg", "Walbaz Ouriga Asmoun".

Search Add 2 Brianne Curran is an improvising violinist from Sydney, Australia currently living in Berlin (since 2015). Having played the instrument since the age of 3, she has a background in numerous musical fields but her focus is on improvised music and its tangeants. Relationship between artist, environment and audience is of major interest in her approach to music making and its developments. Also of interest is how to break the box of ‘the violinist’. From 2004 she lived in the ACT and then the Blue Mountains in NSW. During this time she focused herself out in the Australian bush often in isolation, exploring ways to express and connect with the surrounding landscape, the moment, and space through music. She returned to her home town to complete her Bachelor Degree in Music (performance) as a scholarship holder in 2008 (ANU/AIM). Back in Sydney, Brianne got in touch with projects such as the Splinter Orchestra and the Nownow festival, initiatives founded by double bassist Clayton Thomas. For 6 years she was band leader and manager of world/jazz quintet Takadimi founded in 2009. The band toured extensively throughout NSW and the East Coast of Australia, and released their debut album New Common Sense through MGM in 2011. The group gained widespread recognition throughout Australia via the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, and numerous other radio stations and press around the country, such as national newspaper The Australian. Brianne’s teachers have been Mr Yasuki Nakamura, Janet Davies, Jane Brownlee, Chris Duncan, Shi Yuan Jur, Shaykh Ibrahim Al Ansari, Adrian Keating, and Greg Coffin. Within Australia, she has performed at numerous festivals including the Melbourne International Jazz Festival (VIC), National Folk Festival Australia (ACT), Woodford Folk Festival (QLD), Illawarra Folk Festival (TAS), Cygnet Folk Festival (TAS), Peak Festival (NSW snowfields), and most recently with musicians such as Clayton Thomas, Mary Rapp, and also Alex Nowitz and Sophia Brous at the Nownow Festival in Sydney (NSW) last year. Being only a newcomer on the Europe scene, she has already toured numerous times through Poland and Germany (Berlin, Leipzig). Currently she performs regularly with the Krakow Improvisers Orchestra, and also with numerous musicians in different combinations in the Berlin improvised scene.

Search Add 2 Kerri Wells Suzanne Rhatigan Irish singer/songwriter, pianist, guitarist, and vocalist Suzanne Rhatigan was raised in Dublin, but moved to London in the early '80s, where she began to do session vocal work for record producers Stock, Aitken & Waterman. After teaching herself piano and beginning to compose her own songs, Rhatigan attracted a manager and a publisher, and continued to try to pin down a record deal through the late '80s; when a friend played her tape for executives at Imago, her career was launched. Rhatigan chose Fred Maher to produce To Hell with Love, her bluesy 1992 debut that included guest appearances from the likes of keyboardist Bernie Worrell and singer/songwriter Matthew Sweet (who played bass). However, Imago folded shortly after the album's release, and her career stalled. Four years later, Rhatigan resurfaced with the LP Late Developer. In 1998 she released the EP Big Stick on her own Cushy Productions imprint.

Search Add 2 Gong Expresso Gong Expresso was the latest branch of the massive [a=Gong] family tree, formed in 2018 as the reunion of core members of HR3 (Hansford Rowe's trio) with two former members of [a=Pierre Moerlen's Gong] (of whom Rowe was also a founding member). Their one-off album 'Decadence' was recorded in Paris, and was initially planned as the second album of HR3, with participation of Hansford's old compatriots from France, François Causse and Benoît Moerlen. This near re-iteration of the Pierre Moerlen's Gong rhythm section (Hansford, François and Benoît) finally resulted in this new band christened after the title of the album [m27835] in which they all played together for the first time in 1977.

Search Add 2 Gary Russell Wertz Gary Russell Wertz (GRW) started his musical career as a youngster in the New York Punk scene of the early 1980s. At 20, Gary joined the quirky pop combo the Mommyheads. He spent the 1990s in the artistic firmament of the Bay Area scene, playing drums for the psych-noise groove music disaster known as Mars Bonfire. The dawn of the 21st Century saw Gary emerged as lead singer and creative force behind the “classic rock” inspired band Hot Mute. The “Aughts” also saw the release of his first solo album (The Natural) under the initials “GRW” – producing, writing and playing every instrument. 2007 heralded the beginning of an intense musical relationship with the fine artist and songwriter Kyle Ranson. Recording as Strawberry Smog, they released "Purgatorious"", "2 & 3" and 2018’s "Forevers", all produced by Gary. In 2011, another GRW L.P., the hard rock inspired “Wet Rocks” emerged on the desert rock label Treasure Craft. Gary has had a long and fruitful collaboration with David Catching of Eagles of Death Metal fame, recording at Rancho De La Luna in Joshua Tree, Ca.- contributing several tracks to Catching’s solo L.P. “Shared Hallucinations Pt.1” Gary produced many artists at his Sacred Dog Studios, including the reggae of Desmond George Smith, art rock band Arms + Legs, the spooky folk duo Pale Horse and, under pseudonyms, two stylistically different solo records: the electro-pop “Secret Projex” in 2016 and Beatlesque “Beat The Orphans” in 2015. In 2018, Gary and Sacred Dog Studios relocated to Nashville, with Gary overseeing production on Kyle Ranson’s first solo LP. GRW’s third solo LP, the Country and Rock flavored “Hybrids” will be released in 2020.

Search Add 2 Lunar Seas Lunar Seas are large, dark, basaltic plains on Earth's Moon, formed by ancient volcanic eruptions. They were dubbed "seas", by early astronomers who mistook them for actual seas. They are less reflective than the "highlands" as a result of their iron-rich composition, and hence appear dark to the naked eye. The project of Moscow based artist P.Mkhlv represents his experiments with acoustic and electronic sound sources in field of landscape, cinematic, adorably dark and slow-motion sides of music.

Search Add 2 Plasma2097 PLASMA2097 is the artist name of a dude who was born in the 80s, raised in the 90s and influenced during the turn of the millennium. The name consists of two parts: “PLASMA” marks the ingenuity about futuristic accomplishments in science and the love for science fiction tv shows and movies like Star Trek The Next Generation, Stargate and Alien up to Back to the Future. “2097” symbolises a homage for the Playstation game WipE’Out’’2097. When it comes to musical influences it would be best to stick to genres otherwise this biography could turn into a full scale name dropping apocalypse from the end of the 90s until today. Musical influences throughout the centuries spread out from Techno, Trance, Electro, House, Minimal and Dubstep. PLASMA2097’s first moves with 12 years began with dj experimentation on a two cassette deck ghetto blaster. By the age of eighteen the rise of technologies gave him the ability to already have recorded a bunch of stomping techno and trance tracks. Over time the bpm count and style changed, varied and evolved into something he calls his own style. In late 2016 ESTEBAM RECORDS were founded by him to become a self publishing artist. His main motivation is trying to make any sense at all and to immortalize himself. The best reward of all is to being heard and to give someone a good time. PLASMA2097 is a coffee and harmony loving music addict with a professional background in graphic design. He likes to create corporate identities and t-shirt designs for him and his friends. He says weird things like this: “Plasma2097 is the name for minimalistic non commercial techhouse tunes created by contemporary mood changes and influences.”
