Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Golden Valley Crusaders | A North Carolina Based Bluegrass Gospel Band, The Golden Valley Crusaders were established in 1970 by Butch Cook and his brothers & sisters. The group has traveled thousands of miles over the past 47 years and performed in several states. Butch Cook, founding member of the Golden Valley Crusaders, began performing to help his father, Reverend Ottis Cook, when he preached at brush arbor meetings and in churches. He grew up listening to his father's old-fashioned preaching. Butch and his sister, Martha, started the Golden Valley Crusaders in 1970 as a family band, and it has been almost exclusively a family band for decades. Other members of the family included: Clint Houser, Martha's son, on banjo; Gary Heavner, Butch's son-in-law, on bass; David Heavner, Gary's son, on mandolin. In the 1990s, Butch, Martha, and their other siblings opened a music park in honor of their father: the Ottis Cook Memorial Gospel Music Park. There they hosted three outdoor singings every year, and the Golden Valley Crusaders performed along with other groups. Search | Add | 2 | RYFN | Ramón Piquero y Carlos Santos | This duo, Ramón Piquero and Carlos Santos, settled in Bcn and of northern origin, gave their first steps with styles such as pop, post rock and grunge. Now, a few years gone by, they explore different aspects of the electronic music: IDM, techno, electro and certain pop overtones that appear in the shape of very impeccable voices. These are some of the ingredients RYFN cooks with. They use electronic music under the pretext of expressing their emotional reality and generating expression in others, trying to induce to certain mental conditions near to the restlessness. In their journey, of approximately five years, the creations follow in studio, especially collaborations with the Delete Records label (Deletination 2011), the Edukando group (live session 2010), Nereida Prod as well as live performances in different concert halls, clubs and festivals, especially Sala Apolo (Bcn), Niu (Bcn), Miscelanea (Bcn), Cool (Gijón), Almazen (Bcn), Festival Almay (Valencia), Zentraus (Bcn), CasinoClub, (León), La Fundicio (Bcn), La Nau Ivanov (Bcn), La Cova de les Cultures (Bcn). The evolution of the sound in their sets, ends in a constant dialog between them and their audience. In their live sessions, they complement each other in a succession of loops, beats, electrical synths and carefully worked vocal melodies, creating dreamy atmospheres and filling the room with commotion, which does not imply the possibility of stopping shaking your head. |

She grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee and her father was a preacher. In late 1973 or early 1974, Dubby met [a=Charlie Spivak] when his band was playing as the house band at [l=Ye Olde Fireplace] restaurant / supper club in Greenville, South Carolina. Dubby was asked by [a=Charlie Spivak] to sing a song with the band, and almost immediately got the job as a vocalist for the group. Within a few months, Dubby and [a=Charlie Spivak] were married (third marriage for both of them). Dubby sang with a few jazz groups in addition to [a=Charlie Spivak]'s group, such as the [a=Nelson Riddle And His Orchestra], and still, when asked, sings at the Langdale Theatre (Valley, Alabama) with bands that need a singer. |

Search | Add | 2 | Strobic Axe | Strobic Axe (1979-1981) Were it not for The Sex Pistols, this might not have happened at all…import copies of Anarchy In The UK and God Save The Queen were almost contraband at the local Sam The Record Man in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada in 1977…and four high school students, with different motives and agendas, were trying to sort it all out. And so Strobic Axe was born in the halls of Adam Scott C.V.I.. A David Bowie freak, an Ace Frehley wannabe, and two Rush –aholics, who all shared an ambition to be rock stars, and fit more power chords, bass notes and drums fills within a bar of music than might be decently possible. It was a stirring underground noise… In February 1979, Strobic Axe came out of the basement. Michael Bell/vocals, John Crown/drums, Rick Kemp/bass and Alex Stangl/guitar played a raucous set of original songs, peppered with just enough Cheap Trick and David Bowie to mesmerize a captive audience at an assembly in the school gymnasium. The boys were hooked. From that gig until their last in December of 1981, the band played the bars and outdoor summer festivals of Southern Ontario. In February 1981, Strobic Axe, managed by Rob Franke, released a 11 song vinyl LP titled Hor Einmal Zu!. (You can listen to the album in the player above). They were turbulent musical times. John Lennon was tragically taken from the world. Somewhere in their minds the boys felt history and the universe were positioning them for world dominance. It never happened. Or did it? In many ways they achieved a lasting and convincing cult status. During their 3 years together, the band developed a devoted following that recorded their many live shows and rehearsals. Each gig was an event. A life altering experience…so they say... As 1981 came to a close, the band played one last midnight dance in Hastings, Ontario to a packed pavilion. Drugs, underage drinking, unrestrained egos and manic-depressive illness were shutting down the dream, whatever it was. The Strobic Axe story was over. Or was it? Through the years there would be many from the society of Strobic Axe revivalists that would attempt to coerce the band into another show, but the issues of old would resurface. And the legend in the minds of many would loom even larger. Michael Bell went on to publish an underground leftist entertainment magazine; John Crown became a drum teacher, session musician and producer; Rick Kemp became a newspaper editor; Alex Stangl navigated the world of mania and depression on a steady diet of lithium pills, though he continued to write and produce songs in a poorly lit basement, making ends meet by driving a taxi. Their paths did cross on occasion, but there was always too much baggage from the past along for the ride. | |
