Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Danimal Swainger | Daniel Swain | Danimal Swainger aka Daniel Swain is Wigan pure breed dragged up on a diet of Northern Soul and Warp records. Danimal followed his nose to (then Warp mecca) Sheffield where he immediately became immersed in the belly of the underground. During his lengthy and chaotic DJ residency at the notorious drinking hole DULO and working for underground parties KABAL and Light Down Low a he met Scott Monkz, and over shared love of soul, bleeps, hardware and booze a friendship was formed that reached the natural conclusion of shared studio time. Danimal had previously made his mark on the Edit ‘scene’ mixing his obscure disco with modern hardware to create his distinctive take on the genre. |

Scott (Tasty Taste), Mark Christopher Lawrence (Tone Def) | Niggaz With Hats are a fictional rap group that appeared in the motion picture Fear Of A Black Hat. This parody rap group parrallels N.W.A, Public Enemy, Ice-T's Body Count, and The 2 Live Crew. The group, known for constantly wearing outrageous hats, consists of lead rapper Ice Cold, hypeman Tasty Taste, and DJ Tone Def. After the release of the sexual-prowess "Booty Juice" and the socio-political "Guerillas In The Midst", the group released the album Fear Of A Black Hat and gained nationwide notoriety as the leading gangsta rap group. However financial and personal disputes lead to the break-up of N.W.H. The three members went solo and released various tracks before coming together to reunite N.W.H. and releasing "White Cops On Dope". |

Search | Add | 2 | Kärääng | A review of recent times describes the successful history of a rock band with Finnish roots: KÄRÄNG. Since the first concert until today the 5-piece formation has been captivating their audience. The band members, all of whom have been active in the music scene for many years, together with KÄRÄNG form the antithesis to the numerous "cover combos" of these days. Since the band's foundation, Kai Rogowski (drums), Thorsten Nau (bass), Tim Weckerle (keyboards), Björn Dinges (guitar) and Jens Ohrndorf (vocals) have always made a point of providing their audience with their own "musical material". So it's obvious that the five feel more at home on the stages of. Stylistically, KÄRÄNG probably fits best into the "rock/pop drawer", although the band does not like to be fixed to a certain style. The most diverse influences from other musical styles are often found in KÄRÄNG's own songs. In addition, the band wants to constantly develop, be open for new things and musically not stand still. The Kärääng songs still stand for hit potential, catchy tunes and German lyrics. After all, one wants to argue convincingly not only musically but also verbally! In addition to live music, the band's programme includes a sophisticated show and stage performance, which is individually adapted to each event and, if required, is accompanied by multimedia special effects. But only those who have seen the five in action, heard their music and experienced their performance live will know which event is behind KÄRÄNG!

Search | Add | 2 | Miguel Sergides | Michalakis Stelios Sergides | Michalakis Stelios Sergides, was a london based cypriot singer & songwriter... He was also known as "Miguel Sergides" (just a stage name), Michael Sergides, as well as "Big Mig Sergides" because of his physical size... About twenty years ago, I had the pleasure of chatting with Michael and it was pure fun...! After the separation from Arcadium, Michael composed a few soundtracks and recorded some really fine still unreleased spaced-out long tracks... I have the pleasure, to own a bub of those fine recordings as well... He also recorded during an erlier period, a very rare 10 inch acetate only release with his band Anaconda... Michael also starred in a movie called "The Moon Over The Alley" as a hippie street musician... Later Michael moved to autralia and changed his stage name to "Michael Savanna Silver" and recorded two records with the "Savanna Silver Band"... Miguel Rodriguez, Germany... |

Search | Add | 2 | Serge Clamens | Born in Moissac in 1952, he discovered from an early age an attraction for music. The polyphonic possibilities of the accordion will fix his choice on this instrument. He began his musical studies in 1962, music theory and instrument, with a private teacher, then very quickly began more serious studies at the Toulouse Conservatory, for music, and with René Feuillet, for the practice of the instrument. He progressed rapidly and went to Paris where he worked with José Rossi and Christian Di Maccio, teacher of the advanced class at the Schola cantorum. He notices, then, that in France, very few composers write for this instrument. The existing repertoire, being more than obsolete, it goes towards the musicians of the East, who work permanently for the evolution of the accordion. He participates in several high-level international competitions and obtains excellent results. 1969 – Evian International Competition – 1 prize (Honour) 1970 to 1974 – Four times finalist of the O.R.T.F. 1972 – Annemasse European Grand Prix – 3 prizes (concertists) 1975 – Irun International Competition – 3 prizes (concertists) 1977 – Selected to represent France at the Klingenthal world competition Now a teacher, he devotes himself to teaching the accordion with avant-garde methods, and a technique he borrowed from the Russian School, the results proving that it is currently the best. He created the TRIO D’ART CONTEMPORAIN DE TOULOUSE, to affirm the accordion in its use with noble instruments, and to interpret a musical literature that has no common measure with the classic accordion repertoire.

A chance encounter in a Surbiton pub was eventually followed by a first studio session from which emerged a deep, progressive breakbeat track with plenty of nuskool leanings, 'Odessa Keys'. This found its way in to the hands of Hybrid with another track, 'Floating Point', and the two were soon being dropped in Hybrid's sets everywhere from Glastonbury to the Glade festival. |

Best known for appearing on both stage and TV versions of The Naked Vicar Show, and for his role as "Bob Bullpitt" in Kingswood Country. McEwan migrated from Scotland as a child, & was a long-time breakfast announcer on 3AK radio in Melbourne, where he created the character of taxi driver Luigi Risotto, and also made regular appearances on the TV variety program In Melbourne Tonight. In 1975 Luigi recorded a single for Fable Records a version of Rolf Harris’s “Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport” b/w “If I Should Plant A Tiny Seed Of Love” (FB- 240). But McEwan was most popular for the stage and TV productions of the irreverent Naked Vicar Show in the 1970s and Kingswood Country in the 1980s, in which he played Datsun dealer Bob Bulpitt, the annoying brother of Kingswood-mad Ted Bulpitt. |
