Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026

Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 Choke.Me Nu Metal band formed in 1998 from Montabaur, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. From zero to one hundred in record time - that's how you could outline Choke.me's career. Only founded in 1998, the guys have already come a long way. Just six months after their founding, they were allowed to see the light of day in their home halls. A little later, the first foreign arrangements came and so the giglist is still filled with over 50 concerts between Aachen and Frankfurt. If you wanted to put Choke.me in any box, they probably wouldn't fit anywhere. In this case, crosscore is probably the best definition for a mix of nu metal, crossover and hardcore elements. The songs are interspersed with frenzied drum parts, electro samples and so many groovy riffs that you could easily make four or five songs out of one. The vocals vary between evil raps, melodic murmurs and piercing shoutings. Mostly introduced by didgeredoo and peppered with all kinds of effects, you can be prepared for a huge sound spectacle. In January 2002, the guys from Choke.me were once again in the studio to replace the long outdated demo "2nd of the 1st". The self-produced record (Rel. Herbst/2000) was already the second studio experience. Meanwhile, the first recording is gathering dust on its own shelves due to a lack of technical quality. Thus, the second work is officially the first, which also explains the title. The release of the new material is expected in autumn 2002 and will be called "Just Four Years Past". A live gig should not be missed under any circumstances - if only because there you can only buy the records and various merchandising frunz. However, we assume no liability for sweaty T-shirts, parched throats and various catchy tunes.

Search Add 3 Judy's Tiny Head "In the 80’ and 90’s, I lived in Boston and play in a band called Judy’s Tiny Head. We released two EPs, which received quite a lot of air play in the Boston area. We even had a top 20 hit on college radio across the country. We were in the midst of recording our third album when the band broke up. One of my favorite cuts from those final sessions was a song called One Step Forward, which was never released. I especially love the background vocals sung by Rosemary St George. An amazing talent who has gone on to have a great music career on her own. This song is about having the courage to heal ourselves in order to heal the world – one step at a time…." - Forrest Hill

Search Add 3 Marie-Claire Durand Montreal-based musician, active as a pianist, vocalist, arranger, as well as composer and teacher (Cégep de Sainte-Foy). She received a Masters in Jazz Composition from McGill University. Accompanied by Joel Kerr on bass and Eric Thibodeau on drums, the composer performs a variety of instrumental and vocal original compositions. Her song writing, both in English and in French, spans from conversational to meditative, while being at times humoristic. Her album Mai, released in February 2011, a collection of eight original compositions for jazz quintet, was featured at the OFF Festival de Jazz de Montréal in 2009, and the Festival On Jazz sous la lune in 2011. Her other projects include Takk, a genre-bending jazz-pop-rock trio with drummer/singer Charlotte Cornfield and saxophonist Averil Parker. (Montreal International Jazz Festival 2010, Halifax Jazz Festival - Galaxie Rising Star Contest 2012) She is also pianist and co-leader of Bean (Joel Kerr, Mark Nelson), a free-jazz trio focused on playful and short improvisations. The trio was featured at the OFF Festival de Jazz de Montréal in 2012.

Search Add 3 The Razorbills The Razorbills The Razorbills are an "indie-folk-punk" band from Galloway, Scotland, producing music which blends acoustic instrumentation with strands of the folk tradition and pop / rock styles. Idiosyncracy a go go", and R2 magazine, giving it 4 stars, "the sound is infused with an electric energy and unpredictable quirkiness which steers well clear of the overly praised Mumfords' territory". Named after his solo "Scanning Planet 3", they strike a unique balance between out-there spaciness and hybrids of jazz and folk musics. The feel is sometimes like that of "Adventure" era Brainticket (think Oregon or Codona territory sans the jazz and lots of cosmic ooze), with many of those unique Rain Garden touches.

One of Sacramento's most successful and popular bands in the 1990s, DF offered a high-impact blend of Vegas style showmanship (Louis Prima was a favorite), Bertolt Brecht theatrics (Dutch's influence) and any fun wacky thing band members could throw in the mix (the Penis Guillotine was a fan favorite). The music was all over the map, but always unmistakably Dutch Falconi, with over a hundred original tunes and arrangements in the book when the band called it quits year 2000.

Baerhard Bæhard was born in Naples in the mid-70s, spent his adolescence playing with mixers and decks, in the mid-90s he decided to start producing his own music with an atari 1200st. As a boy he loves Techno music. In the early 90's he listens to a lot of reggae music and it is almost by chance that he discovers the dub, which he loves immediately. Techno and Dub thus become a living reason for him, so labels like Basic Channel become his point of reference. So he unites his two greatest loves. He does not like to be seen in public, he does not like performing live or performing DJ sets, he loves the sea is the island of Ischia.

David Neuer's musical spectrum covers acoustic ballads, avant-blues twangin', psychedelic musique noir and undefinable semi-melodic no-fi weirdness. Neuer made eccentric cassette tape recordings since 1984. Later, he spent some time with a more crisp/clear/hi-fi sounding MiniDisc recorder as his alias, I.C. Cassiel. Other collaborations Neuer was involved in included West Cower Funtry and Los Flying Falafflers, and the more "serious" projects, Defenders of the 49th Parallel and Not Supposed To Drink It. In the early 1990s, Neuer played drums in a couple of bands with (Tender Prey's) Kenneth Larsen. As a poet, Neuer displayed his talents in the form of four Danish-language books, and participated on both of the BSBTA Talkathon Series releases with some poetry readings - with and without musical accompaniment.

Search Add 3 Grim County Coroners Dom Kreep the story so far... The birth of The Grim County Coroners 4th. November. 2014 I was looking for something. Something hard to find because, well, I wasn't sure what it was to begin with... Somewhere between dead sounds, red dead redemption and the long, dark tunnel that led up to the last Kreeps album proper, "Spirit Clinic", I'd stopped having fun, and when you're an artist sometimes finding enjoyment in your creativity is all you have. things were developing well with Kreeps and all the signature sounds were still intact - but something was missing. i needed a way to tap directly back into the source of my love for dark surf and experimental soundtrack music - essentially where Kreeps began. a psychic feedback loop if you will. The Grim County Coroners had to be born. Between the records mentioned above is where most of the coroners material was written and recorded - an attempt to stitch together surf, rockabilly and jump blues with lurching, experimental, early-synth soundtracks - but after the stresses surrounding the release of "Spirit Clinic" I soon decided to take a break from music to regroup and concentrate on other things, and The Coroners project was largely forgotten about. Until now... When the dust settled I relocated and began to frequent Scarecrow Video in Seattle, which pulled me back into that crazy world of sound and vision all over again. anyone that's been to Scarecrow knows it's an overwhelming archive of incredible cinema. Suddenly I was reconnected with all those trashy and psychedelic horrors and thrillers I was so influenced by when I started Kreeps. I suddenly had access to films I'd never had an opportunity to see and some films I'd never even heard about. I loved everything about them. The cinematography, the crazy dialogue, the often nonsensical plots, and of course the soundtracks. several sparks were reignited during my trash cinema orgy - and I started thinking about The Coroners again. Meanwhile, Bob Nixon (Kreeps visual designer extraordinaire) had been getting into producing sculpted toys of his cartoon characters (see 'The Unfortunates') and this led to us talking about old board game designs we'd liked and that he'd really like to produce one some day. We came up with the concept of a 60's style spooky board game with accompanying music to play along to, but it was very much a dream at that point. 'The Curse Of Grim County' is set to be released as a series of limited vinyl records to form a mini album to accompany the board game.

Search Add 3 The Surf Messengers The Surf Messengers Who are The Surf Messengers? Annie Q (from Devon), when not trying to find out what noises a milk bottle can make, plays flute, sax and clarinet and creates wistfully twisted lyrics. Glenda Pescado (from West Wales), if not playing the bass, loves to manipulate noise and mess with off-centred and otherwise effected records as well as heavily-treated, sampled and looped guitars and such like. You may also know him by psyche-rock band SENDELICA. Nick Danger (from Surrey) is essentially a drummer who thinks the whole world is a drum kit; but he also likes to explore other sounds, usually invovling the unlikely juxtapostion of household objects and can often be seen with his trusty dictaphone in hand. And will whitney (from Devon) likes to hit things with varying degrees of violence: sometimes suspended gearbox housings but often just a guitar or a keyboard. They come together once or twice a year to play and record as THE SURF MESSENGERS. They've been playing together as this combo for over 10 years now and have an understanding that allows them to improvise creatively in many different set-ups: sometimes as a straight beat combo; sometimes as a experimental cell; but, more often than not, as a combination of these. What you can be sure of is, whatever instrumentation they choose to use, whether it be regular or radical, the resulting music is always interesting, frequently challenging, sometimes darkly humourous and often extremely beautiful. And all the music is created without prior discussion. Most of TSM recordings are rare self-produced CDR's which can be ordered through their own C IS FOR DOG RECORDS.

Our name came from a skeleton hand holding a broken wine glass, Zack noticed it after waking up from his sleep under the living room table, woke Sean up and said "Shakey Bones broke the glass!!!" Zack and Sean played banjo and guitar together in the very beginning, along with Stiv on the Stivharp. The beginning formation spent most of the time busking on the streets of Dub-C, and eventually recruited the upright bass playing Zeebo. We spent our first few months playing various folk/blues songs (and recorded the first 9-song demo) and eventually worked ourself into a fully functional street band. Tilton joined us ukulele soon after Stiv moved to LA, and Zeebo went on to do what Zeebo does best. Bryan joined us on bass, and this became our solid lineup."
