Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024

Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 Dubaptism John Karagiannis & Nikifors Virlios Dubaptism is the brainchild of longtime friends and producers John Karagiannis and PayLipService. John and Nikiforos have been proudly and successfully running TechHead Recordings over the past 10 years, as well as TechHead Toolbox and Amaze Me. One of their latest flicks is Deeptechno.fm, an online radio station that broadcasts selected dubby, deep and detroit techno music. Dubaptism has sprung out of their love for the later and in this new alter ego, John and Nikiforos now express themselves through chaotic dubs, dubby techno and detroit influences. Their prime goal is to wager on the combination of solid, detailed productions with the passion of their newly discovered aesthetic.

Search Add 3 Ben Iota Having been an active member of the Adelaide Hip Hop community for over a decade, emcee and producer [a3389344] (AKA Bornski of Hip Hop groups Adroit Effusive and Common Cause) is back. After taking a hiatus from Hip Hop to concentrate on studies, travel and to live in remote Indonesia, a new artist with a fresh and somewhat unique perspective to Australian Hip Hop has emerged. Ben now approaches music as a writer, with fewer attachments to the scene, and a perspective that more often that not looks outside of the suburb, state and country that he lives in, posing some big questions. This is socio-political music from a lived perspective, underpinned by inquiry and the need to explore. In 2012 Ben Iota the emcee teamed up with friend and musical comrade Matchless Gift on production to write, record and produce a series of songs in a time of inspired energy. Having freshly finished his studies as a mature-aged student, and with an overseas move on the horizon, the songs just fell out. 2013 sees the release of this collaboration - “Born Free”.

The following year she was invited to give a recital at the White House for President and Mrs. Carter. She has also been honoured by the Bolivian people with a commemorative postage stamp. A former pupil of Ylda Novik and Leon Fleisher, Vera has appeared as guest soloist with many of the world’s leading orchestras such as the Philadelphia Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Australian Chamber Orchestra and Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra, and with conductors Riccardo Muti, Yoel Levi, David Zinman, Eliahu Inbal, David Stern, Sergiu Commissiona, Maximiano Valdes, Michael Schønwandt, Ken-Ichiro Kobayashi and James Conlon. Search Add 3 Anne Collingham Anne Collingham was not a real person. It was made up by Tony Barrow in 1963 to help keep things simple at [l104714]. A variety of girls who worked at the fan club were used as 'Anne Collingham' for photos at the time. Tony Barrow wrote about this in the May 1983 issue of the Beatle Book Monthly: "I decided in June 1963 that the Club should have a Nation Secretary based in London at our Monmouth Street address. Until then, fans in the South had kept in touch through [a11055221] in Surrey whilst [a13414875] had looked after the top half of Britain from her NEMS office base in Liverpool. The name of the new National Secretary was given as 'Anne Collingham'. In fact, no such person ever existed. The 'Collingham' part came from part of my secretary's home address in Earls Court, and Anne was my wife's middle name. It wasn't done in order to deceive the fans. It was intended to be helpful. Clearly as the membership grew a full time office staff of clerks and helpers would be needed. There was little to be gained from confusing members by letter them receive replies from an assortment of people, especially as staff were coming and going all the time. So the simplest answer seemed to be to have Anne Collingham as the regular signature on all individual reply letters, on newsletters and on all the Club's printed stationery. There was another massive advantage. The press office and the Fan Club shared a single telephone number, COVent Garden 2332. As the publicity side of things became busier we were not only handling the Beatles but all the other NEMS acts ranging from Billy J. Kramer to Cilla Black. The telephone lines were being used more and more heavily. Therefore it was convenient to know at once if a caller wanted the press office or the Fan Club. If the caller asked or Anne Collingham, it was passed straight through to the right room to be handled quickly. Personal callers at 13 Monmouth Street always found themselves talking to come of Anne Collingham's assistants. Ms. Collingham herself seemed to eb permanently unavailable to meet her visiting members! The Fan club grew so fast that we took an extra floor of office space above the press office's suite of rooms. Here at least half a dozen full time workers coped with the mountains of mail. These peopel included Michael Crowther-Smith, tony Catchpole, Yvonne Sainsbury, Monica Stringer and Macy Cockram. By the end of 1963, Bettina Rose, the Surrey-based South of England Secretary, had been put on the full-time NEMS payroll and was working at at Monmouth Street as the colleague of 'Anne Collingham'. The two signed themselves as 'Joint National Secretaries of the Official Beatles Fan Club'. Bettina's physical appearance at Monmouth Street meant that at least one of the Club's chiefs was on hand to meet visitors in person."

Walker located at the junction of Highways 125 and T in Oldfield, Missouri. The band was made up of four local musicians -- Hank Thompson, Bill Gardner, Steve Beyers and Johnny Walker. After a few months, the crowd had outgrown the venue and fundraising efforts began to build a new building. In December of 1990, the new site -- complete with central heating and air, and seating for up to 200 people -- was ready. The Oldfield Opry Band performs every Saturday night from 7-9 pm.

Search Add 3 John Centinaro John Centinaro is a long time Tampa area song writer and manager who's roots in music go back to the late sixties when he managed several groups. In the early 60's John was the manager of a local record store in Tampa called Ron's Record Shop, located at the Britton Plaza Mall. After a chance meeting with local youth Buddy Good, Centinaro began managing and producing Good's band, The Scopes. John was instrumental in getting there single "She's Got Bad Breath" & "Tears In Your Eyes", issued in the summer of 1967 on the USA label out of Chicago. The song features John and company doing a mersey-ish spoof on the topside, with a decent mid tempo song on the flip side. With his next band, 60's garage Band The Surprize, John managed and produced the band on his own Cent Record label out of Tampa, Florida. The band released there only single [r4928586], before breaking up and three of the members joining Centinaro's next project Mercy. Mercy were an American pop group from Brandon,Florida. They released a hit single hit on Warner Brothers Records titled "Love (Can Make You Happy)" which soared to #2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, and also peaked at #2 on the Adult Contemporary chart. Mercy had one other Billboard Hot 100 hit, the song "Forever", which reached #79 in June 1969. After Mercy, John hooked up with James Marvell & Buddy Good for there next venture as The Country Cavaleers. The Country Cavaleers were an oddity at the time, being Country & Western and yet both members sported long hair. “You’ve got to remember it was right after the movie Easy Rider,” explains Marvell. John was instrumental again in securing a record deal with MGM Records for the duo. John then went to work for Tone Record Distributors, a major record distributor out of Miami. He also worked as a booking agent for Buddy Lee Attractions in Nashville representing the likes of Hank Williams Jr, Willie Nelson, and Frank Sinatra Jr to name but a few. John's many years of experience has given him an in depth knowledge and understanding of the music business.

The entirety of the album is in Icelandic, translated by Veturliði Guðnason. Four years later another production would be put on in Reykjavík, this time by a professional theatre company at Flugfélagið Loftur Theatre. Almost all of the same translations would be used though, with the singular exception of "Laugardagskvöld" (Hot Patootie) which was completely reimagined as an ode to death metal instead. The 1991 version is more traditional, with Eddie playing his "saxófónninn" and really loving that "rokk og ról". The 1995 Icelandic cast put out a cast album also. Search Add 3 Plasma2097 PLASMA2097 is the artist name of a dude who was born in the 80s, raised in the 90s and influenced during the turn of the millennium. The name consists of two parts: “PLASMA” marks the ingenuity about futuristic accomplishments in science and the love for science fiction tv shows and movies like Star Trek The Next Generation, Stargate and Alien up to Back to the Future. “2097” symbolises a homage for the Playstation game WipE’Out’’2097. When it comes to musical influences it would be best to stick to genres otherwise this biography could turn into a full scale name dropping apocalypse from the end of the 90s until today. Musical influences throughout the centuries spread out from Techno, Trance, Electro, House, Minimal and Dubstep. PLASMA2097’s first moves with 12 years began with dj experimentation on a two cassette deck ghetto blaster. By the age of eighteen the rise of technologies gave him the ability to already have recorded a bunch of stomping techno and trance tracks. Over time the bpm count and style changed, varied and evolved into something he calls his own style. In late 2016 ESTEBAM RECORDS were founded by him to become a self publishing artist. His main motivation is trying to make any sense at all and to immortalize himself. The best reward of all is to being heard and to give someone a good time. PLASMA2097 is a coffee and harmony loving music addict with a professional background in graphic design. He likes to create corporate identities and t-shirt designs for him and his friends. He says weird things like this: “Plasma2097 is the name for minimalistic non commercial techhouse tunes created by contemporary mood changes and influences.”

Search Add 3 N. Patrick Williams Conneaut, Ohio 1967-68 Hailing from the community of Conneaut, at the very northeast corner of Ohio on Lake Erie, N. Patrick Williams didn't really have the people and resources to create a teen band scene, so he became a full on DIY mastermind who wrote, sang, produced, and released some excellent and unique garage rock 45s in 1968. On his first 45, recorded early in 1968, he hooked with a short lived band from Conneaut called the Inner Prism and recorded "Bad Seed", an intense tale of debauchery brought on by a cheating girlfriend, with the classic shout out "All right man, here's my life!". Williams put together a second recording session a few months later, using a couple local musicians, and cut the anti drug "Bearded Peddler", the anti war "Sirens of War", and the moody downer "Tears I Lost For You", all just as intense, and slightly unhinged, as the 1st 45. He recorded one more 45 at the end of 1968, under the name of "The Sound Of N. Patrick Williams" which was much more low key. Those were the last released recordings of Williams. Discography: (45) Bad Seed / Someday Tomorrow - Confederate no #, April 1968 (45) Bearded Peddler / Little Girl - Confederate #1,  July 1968 (45) Sirens Of War / Tears I Lost For You - Confederate #2,  July 1968 (45) Down Where Devils Play / Don't Be Afraid To Cry - Confederate #5, late 1968

Search Add 3 Crackerjack System The ‘system’ was born in the summer of ‘98 when four friends came together as the group now simply calls itself Crackerjack System. The original members - Ian Minton, Matt Traynor, Simon and Josh Bader – began their musical crusade as a cover band practicing in the Baders’ basement. As the summer proceeded, the band (then known as ‘Fat Pinch’) started to flourish and create their own material. They showcased at a few clubs around downtown Toronto in order to develop a following. As the summer came to an end and they started to expand, Matt parted from the band on good terms to pursue other musical endeavors while the three remaining members met up with new bassist, Scooter. By late ‘98, ‘Fat Pinch’ became Crackerjack System and dream turned into reality. Scooter helped write and record their first demo entitled ‘Sixty-Nine Degrees,’ and booked as many shows as possible. The main goal was to get their name out and become known throughout the city’s indie scene. The Thornhill four-piece was prompted to go back into the studio and lay down some new tracks as well as put up a website to attract listeners from all areas of the world. The band teamed up with PeopleSound.com in the UK to market ‘Sixty-Nine Degrees’ and CJS was worldwide. With help from students studying at The Trebas Recording Institute in Toronto, ‘Eight Hours’ was recorded in hope to make a second CD release through our British distributors. Unfortunately, Scooter left the band because of creative differences and the group was left to find another bassist yet again. The new CD was shelved and Crackerjack System went on a short hiatus.
