Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Medicinska Spexarcorpsen | From Gothenburg, Sweden, formed in 1954 with the set of the spex Faust or The Wise Stone. Medicinarspexet is still active and is run by students in health science educations at Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg. In Medicinarspexet, both women and men are on stage. The spex is played with various historical events or fictional works as a background and is performed to a live orchestra with string, wind and comp section. The singers speak and sing without electric amplification. Performance venues are usually the Stenhammarsalen, the back pocket of Gothenburg's concert hall. The script is written by a special author committee, Författeriet. The music is arranged especially for the orchestra and lyrics are written by various old singers according to the motto "to combine new lyrics with classical music so that the music feels new and the lyrics become classical". In addition to the orchestra and actors on stage (stage goers), the spex engages many more groups. Their commitments include decor (plank), clothing, makeup, sound, lighting, subtitling, tickets, contacts and peripheral arrangements. Often about fifty people are involved. Medicinarspexet has a rich exchange with the sister spexet at the Swedish-language medical education in Helsinki, the "Medicinarklubben Thorax". Each spex goes on tour to the other once a year.

Search | Add | 2 | Silent Hall | Silent Hall appeared in Varginha-MG in October 2007, with the proposal to make a sound focused on Heavy Metal and its aspects, taking advantage of the different influences brought by each of the members, whose sum made the sound of the band enough embracing. Known for previous projects, friends: Jack Silva (guitar), Jorge Cardoso (guitar), Rogerio Vilela (bass) and Silvio Cesz (drums and vocals) started the band, which Adriano Sarto. With some songs ready, in the middle of 2008 the band began recording their first audio recording. The recording process was performed by Silent Hall itself, as well as mixing and final production, with its own investment. The result of this work was the demo "Dreams ...", released in March 2009. At the end of 2011, after having sought to promote his work through shows in several cities in the South of Minas Gerais, some of them quite expressive as Roça 'n Roll (Varginha-MG in 2009 and 2011), Passos Brutal Metalfest 2009), Triumph of Metal (featured in this presentation, as the event featured Paul Di'anno's participation in August 2010), Silent Hall began a new phase of its trajectory by striving to record its first full-length album. For this he intensified the composition of new songs and has already begun the recordings, which should be finalized soon. However, in March 2012 the band suffered a low, Adriano Sarto leaves Silent Hall and today follows his musical trajectory with the band Tray of Gift. After a few weeks of searching and testing, Silent Hall officialized its new frontman, Marcos Ulisses. That came to add a lot to the sound of the band with their experience of previous bands such as Shadows Time. Now the band is about to release an EP with four songs, which will also be on their first CD and will also be in the cast of Coletânia Die Fight vol. II, that will count on great bands of the National Metal.

Search | Add | 2 | The Simon Hopper Band | Simon Hopper is a singer / songwriter who has been on the folk / roots scene for some time. A few years ago he ran the now defunct Bromley Acoustic Music Club and in 2006 re - emerged with his band. The four piece consists of Simon on acoustic guitar, Leigh Trowbridge on electric guitar, Andee Price electric bass and mandolin and John Fisher on drums (bigger venues and recording). Andee is classically trained and all four perform vocals. We are asked to file the music under jazz-influenced acoustic and soul-based folk rock. I thought it a sandwich of love songs and enigmatic political diatribes, pleasantly produced, nicely played and with a fairly obvious folk influence. The lyrics are contained in the accompanying booklet.

He was married to Annemarta Borgen. Under the pseudonym of Mumle Gåsegg (Mumble Goose-egg) he wrote shorter articles in the newspaper Dagbladet, particularly during World War II. His articles were ironic and derogatory of the Nazi government, and he kept this up for a long time before being found out. In the end though, he was caught and sent to the prison camp Grini. His best-known work is the novel Lillelord (1955). Borgen was editor of the literary magazine Vinduet ("The Window") 1954-1959. Father to [a2515370] and grandfather to [a1369614] |

Search | Add | 2 | Jan Leef | Very little documentation exists on Jan Leef´s life and career. “Jan Leef” is probably a stage name he used when he privately released his one and only LP “We Will Survive” in 1972 on Gypsy Sound, a label established to the occasion. Very few copies were released (estimated to 200, “Rare Danish Records 1958 - 1977 - Inspiration and Priceguide” by Jan Rørbæk) and they never came out in regular record stores. Most of the copies were probably given away to friends and family members. His music is described as downer loner folk-psychedelica and some even compares Jan Leef with contempoary Nick Drake. No records are available on the web about any live events where Leef has performed his songs from 1972. “We Will Survive” has never been repressed although Jan Leef has been approached recently by interested people. According to rumors “Jan Leef” is still an active composer, but details are blurred and unconfirmed leaving the same mysterious aura around this unique artist who, maybe accidentally, made a little rough diamond unknovn to even hard core folk connoisseurs. Recent sale of his record came as high as to 800€, which is remarkably given the fact that Jan Leef is still unknown to the vast mayority of the folk community as no copies of his LP are available.
