Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Toivo Lundmark | Artist and sculptor from Piteå, Sweden. (1936-2011) Toivo Lundmark was born and raised in Munksund. He made his public debut as an artist in 1966. During his active time, he tried his hand at most things in technology and materials. He received his artistic education at Sunderbyn Folk High School. He received the most attention for his wooden works of art. He himself thought that enamel was one of the most fun things to work with, but he started by drawing and painting. He started working with wood quite a few years after his debut. It turned out that he found a fire pit in Sweden, with waste from the carpentry. Toivo Lundmark was a down-to-earth person who was in close contact with nature. Over the years, he showed a boldness in choosing his material. Lundmark's sculptures and reliefs were mostly built around large and small wooden blocks. In addition to wood, he used stone, glass, enamel, textiles and metal in his production. For a long time, the studio consisted of a tent that he operated during the summer, in Jönsbyn, Norrfjärden. Lundmark was fascinated in his creation of the early history of Norrbotten and he himself pointed out that Finnish literature offered a lot of information. This was individual and in combination gave him inspiration in his work and made him driven forward in his desire to achieve something. - I'm glad that I'm not such an artist who has fallen into the myth of himself. Those who suffer from it only become figures who have forgotten what it is like to be human, Toivo Lundmark pointed out on one occasion. Toivo Lundmark characterized himself a number of years ago as follows: "Constantly petty and slightly crazy, I am - despite the world's lies - not burned to ashes. However, through my belief in the individual in the collective, I want through temperament, strength, imagination, sensitivity and not least stubbornness trying to give people a bit of optimism. By the way, it is also the case that when the words are neither there nor enough, well, then the pictures and things take over ". He was a person who was not talkative, liked to discuss the world situation, both global and local injustices. Fun events and less fun, people, animals and nature were other topics he liked to talk about. "Sometimes I let my mouth go too far," he said at one point. - The world consists of lots of problems and the worst thing is that we in the west can look away or shrug. When I get involved in something that happens, I immediately start pondering how it can be visualized, he stated on one occasion and pointed out Toivo Lundmark in a newspaper interview a few years ago. - My art comments on the world, to change it is unfortunately rare. So if what I do is perceived as beautiful, it depends more on the material than on the motif. I always try to highlight the properties of the material, he further emphasized. Lundmark is publicly represented in many places in Sweden, but also in Norway. He has had solo exhibitions at even more, including in the US and Germany. A few years ago, he also exhibited in Piteå-Tidningen's art foyer. During the 1980s, two television programs about his art were shown on Swedish television. Previously, Toivo Lundmark was politically involved and then sat on the Piteå municipality's culture committee. He was a member of the artists' national organization. Lundmark's leisure time was taken up over the years by hunting, fishing, nightlife in the forest, literature, theater, general politics, philosophy, aesthetics and spending time with people. The cottage in Gråträsk was one of his best strawberry places, almost as long as he himself was an artist. His closest are two daughters and a son with families and life partner Sara Arnia.

Search | Add | 2 | Jimmie Durham | Jimmie Durham (1940–2021) was an American artist, poet, and writer who lived in Europe. From the early 1960s he was politically active in the American civil rights movement and began to work as a sculptor in 1964. In the 1970s, he was a co-founder and chairman of the International Indian Treaty Council at the United Nations, where his and others’ work led to the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. Durham became internationally known in the 1980s with objects and sculptures made from materials such as stones, animal skulls and bones, and carved wood, ironically related to Euro-centric notions of “Indian art.” In 1987, Durham left the United States, first to go to Mexico and then, in 1994, to Europe. From this point on, he also increasingly observed European political developments. The relationship between history and environment, architecture and monumentality, and a critical attitude towards political structures of power and narratives of national identity are often at the center of his artistic and literary work. In sculptures, film and video works, drawings and texts, Durham described behaviors and norms of coexistence and the relationship with nature in different cultures and societies. Jimmie Durham has exhibited worldwide, including at the Venice Biennale, Documenta, Serpentine Gallery, Walker Art Center, Whitney Museum, and many others. He was awarded The Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement of the 58th Venice Biennial, the Robert Rauschenberg Award in 2017, and the Goslarer Kaiserring Prize in 2016.

Search | Add | 2 | Les Sirocco | Trio of Montreal (Québec, Canada) performers composed of Hélène Vanier, Francine Jarry and Frankie Hart. Also known as: Les Filles Sirocco, The Sirocco Singers. Hélène Vanier and Francine Jarry had done their secretarial courses together. Hélène was secretary and Francine, press officer at Expo '67. She knew Frankie Hart well, who was secretary of the newspaper The Gazette, and the three girls decided to share the same apartment. All three sang for their pleasure and played a little guitar. They had never studied singing but had learned the piano for several years, they said to themselves one day, "Why not sing together", and they set to work. At the time, they had no thought of making a career. And then, thanks to an acquaintance, they participated in the contest show "Like Young", on CFCF (channel 12) in May 1967 and won the prize. They continued to work in their respective offices until September, but the offers of commitments were so numerous after this issue that they decided to try their luck. During a visit to New York in the fall of '67, they had an unforgettable experience: singing on the stage of the famous "Lamb' Club". A Sullivan Company producer heard them and was impressed. He took them under his protection! Mexico and Europe were sources of inspiration for Francine and Hélène: each, having visited several countries, discovering in each place either a song or an air of music that pleased her. They had chosen their name well: Les Sirocco, just on the eve of their appearance on TV and in 15 minutes, pressed as they were by the director who threatened them with the joke, to give them one that would not be beautiful. They wanted a name that is quite easily pronounced in all languages, foreshadowing or premonition of their future international career. They sing in French, English, Spanish, German, Italian and Hebrew.

Search | Add | 2 | Inconsolable Ghost | “tapping into signals from beyond, broadcasting into haunted cinemas…” Inconsolable Ghost is an occult audio-visual group produced by Hilary Jeffery and Gideon Kiers, former members of The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble and The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation. Conjuring up a twenty-first century vision of spiritism and occupying a similarly spooky territory as Kilimanjaro / Fuji, this project works with several well known artists who are conceived as channellers of energies, atmospheres, ghosts, spirits, thought forms and other entities. Inconsolable Ghost live shows are deeply atmospheric channelling events, as anyone who witnessed their early channelling events can testify to. The first channelling took place at OT301 – the old film academy in Amsterdam – there followed two Central European tours in 2014 and 2015 which brought the group to Vienna, Bratislava, Topolcany, Budapest, Ostrava and Zagreb. These tours featured collaborations with the Japanese filmmaker Makino Takashi, the Hungarian viola player Zsolt Sőrés, the Berlin duo Hacklander \ Hatam and the Australian cellist Anthea Caddy. Since 2014, the invited channellers have been: Zsolt Sőrés (Ahad) – viola, electronics, voice Anthea Caddy – cello Charlotte Cegarra – voice, computer Colin Hacklander – drums Farahnaz Hatam – computer Alfredo Genovesi – guitar, electronics Miodrag Gladović – guitar, computer Hilary Jeffery – trombone, electronics, voice Gideon Kiers – computer, electronics, video Ralf Meinz – live sound, electronics Gianpaolo Peres – voice Makino Takashi – film, sound Raphael Vanoli – guitar, electronics
