Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024

Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 6 Knout Swedish Nu Metal band from Borlänge and Avesta, Sweden. Formed in 2000. In January 2000 four guys from the small town Borlänge/Sweden formed a band called KNOUT, and about four months later they found a singer in Niklas Franzen from Avesta, and the setting was complete. Their first demo "69 Stitches" was released in june 2000. It includes three songs. The first demo was recorded only a few days after Niklas had joined, so all vocals was made in a real Hurry. After 69 stitches the guys made a few gigs but held a low profile (laziness!). But in January 2001 they entered the studio to record demo number two "Cuckoo Phobia". Eight songs was made on that one, and the guys had some time on this demo. After some local touring they joined a music contest called "garagerocken". The band won easy and the price was ten hours in a studio and 300 pressed cd. Before the recording of "Manwhore" the band decided they needed a new drummer ,so Micke was replaced by Daniel Liljeqvist from Ludvika and in early November 2001 they went to the studio to record "Manwhore". In January the band had there releaseparty for "Manwhore" on the local club Bolanche. The gig was not one of the best performances they had done, singer Niklas was way to drunk and the whole gig sounded bad. After the performance at Bolanche the band decided they needed a new singer. So tired of Niklas they replaced him with Hans from Gävle. They wrote some new songs with their new singer and went out doing some local gigs again. Spring 2002 they once again entered the studio this time for the making of the self titled demo "Knout" now the band had some new self-confidence. Later that year they decided to make a test. The singer Sonny from Falun was added to the group and the song "Airtime" was recorded with two singers. and the band rehearsed and performed for a while with two singers. After a period if time the band decided it was best with only one singer so Sonny left the band. February 2003 Knout´s new demo is recorded and it sounds great. However in late 2006, the band ultimately broke up due to their unpopularity.

Search Add 6 Kodeen The Swedish metal act KODEEN was born from the remains of a previous existing metal band called Mindtrigger in the end of year 2000. KODEEN was a natural step for the more creative members of Mindtrigger to take, in order to develop new ideas with other musicians, to get a more melodic and more varied direction of the music, which has become the trademark of KODEEN today. Together with a new recruited drummer and a fresh bass player, the band started to rehearse with the goal to find a raw and unique sound. KODEEN became a unified force when a second singer (Magnus Fast ex. Captor) joined the band in early 2001. Magnus’ vocal strengths and abilities as a songwriter completed their search and moved the band forward, with an eagerness to constantly evolve. The six piece constellation have a wide range of influences, which is reflected in their music as extreme from one end of the spectrum to the other. “We're always trying to do things that makes the music more interesting for us and the listener.”

Search Add 6 Danny Weeland Danny Weeland Born: 20-09-1964 Died: 01-07-2013 Amsterdam based Danny "Firestone" Weeland, inventor of the typical Riotstyle Hardcore, started his career as vocalist/guitarist in the early 80's Punkband 'NV Le Anderen'. Their tracks appeared from 1982 on a variety of compilation Lp's and 12'' around Europe and the U.S. The band split up in 1985, after their last gig at the famous CBGB's in New York City. From 1993 he toured the U.S. and other countries several times as leadsinger/guitarist with 'Teenage Warning', best known for the 1997 rip-offs 'Brohymn' (Pennywise) and 'If Kidz Are United' (Sham69), which he produced with Paul Elstak. Both tracks are considered as Hardcore classics, entered the Dutch radiocharts, and appeared in different mixes on many compilations. Over the years their own recordings were released on sampler cd's in Germany, Japan, Brazil, Italy, Spain, the U.S. and Great Britain. After the breakup with Teenage Warning in 1998, he took his old job as roughneck in offshore drilling, until a tragedy on September 11, 2001 brought him back in the studio again. That same year he started writing for, and became frontman of the 'Offensive' Live project. First track made was 'Deadcops', and soon he found himself performing at almost every major Hardcore event all over Europe, including Hellraiser, Masters Of Hardcore, Sonic, Hardcore For Life, Space Music Festival Moscow, Nightmare, Decibel, Project Hardcore, Thunderdome and many more. Today his main effort was recording with DJ Leviathan for Cenobite Records. First release will be a digital package containing 4 experimental Hardcore tracks with titles like: Crosses, HC Heroes, Ice Cold Blood, and Cenobite! Since 2010 he was also recording and performing as lead singer for Hardcore-outfit 'Dutch Wisdom', which gave him the opportunity to go back to his musical roots, but must be considered as side project.

Len Henry then teamed-up with younger brother Harvey Henry to form The Henry Brothers Band, after which both brothers pursued solo careers in country music, with Len Henry forming the band Len Henry And Good Company. In the late 1970's Len Henry became a favourite with the late Elizabeth "Ma" Henning, owner operator of the famed Downs Motor Hotel in Winnipeg, as well as the Downs Records Company. As Executive Producer "Ma Henning brought in Nashville's Jack Clements to oversee production of Len Henry's 1978 debut album"Don't Give A Damn Kind Of A Man" (Downs DWNS-1000). The album served up a series of single releases, including the title track (DWNS-100) and the follow-up "She's That Kind Of Woman" b/w "When You're Sad" (DWNS-101). Two other singles from the album were billed as "Len Henry & Good Company", including "Poor Man's Railroad Line" (DWNS-1008) and "Ramblin" (DWNS-110). A second album, "Yesterday's Dreams" (Downs DWNS-81-1001) was released in 1981, this one produced in Winnipeg Studios by Craig Fotheringham. Again, several singles were pulled from the album, including the Barry Brown (of Family Brown) penned tune, "Cold Wind On The Mountain" b/w "Love Has Made A Fool Of Me Again" (DWNS-1001); followed by "Oh My Lady (DWNS-107). The next two singles were released on "Ma" Hennings new record label, Ameri-Can Records, with "What's It Like To Live In Texas" (DH-1001) and "Happy Ever After"(DH-1006), the latter proving to be Len Henry's only national chart showing, peaking at #35 on the RPM Charts in 1983. With the lack of any sustained chart action, Len Henry soon put his recording career on hold. He currently resides in Thorold, Ontario. Len's brother Harvey Henry passed away October 4, 2013 in Roblin, Manitoba.

Search Add 6 Фиолетовый Холст Hard Rock Band from Samara, Russia.

Search Add 6 The Phantom Broadcast Phantom aims to create music that pushes the boundaries of Indie and Post Rock with the influence of Folk, Jazz, Classical, and even Metal tendencies. The results yield dynamic instrumentation where creativity and emotion are paramount in the composition of each song. Aiming to construct an architectural sonic space, the five collaborate on storytelling and presentation. Having released 3 full lengths and 2 eps, the band has grown, mutated, amputated, and grown some more with each recording. After almost 2 years of writing and recording, The Phantom Broadcast released Antiquities 11/1/19. The record’s themes explored on the double EP, now a full length, deal with the challenges of maintaining good mental health, the anxiety coupled with living and thriving in a large city like Chicago, and hardships of the mundane. Thanks to an incredible amount of support via Kickstarter, the record was pressed to vinyl and is available in all online streaming platforms, at shows, and in record stores throughout Chicago.

Search Add 6 Sal V Sal V DJ/Producer addicted to music. With over 20 years rocking the turntables under his belt, there is no mistaking his skills. Whether it's events, clubs or radio shows, Sal V is known for flawless mixing and eclectic music styles, always at the top of his game knowing what to play and when to play it. Originally from Oxnard, California, his love for music began as a child, watching and learning from local 805 DJs. It wasn't long before he bought his first pair of Technics 1200's, built a record library and went straight to work under the moniker DJ Maclon. Working with numerous promoters, he toured for years sharing the stage with superstar DJ's and guest mixing on several radio stations throughout California. Not satisfied with just spinning other people's tracks, he took the next step venturing into production under the new stage name Sal V. His first productions were picked up by local labels Hardstep Records and Fussion Groove, then licensed on several DJ mixed compilation CD's. In the following years he continued producing and remixing, releasing tracks under his own label Full Effect Recordings. In 2006, Sal V joined KRAJ 100.9 The HEAT FM as Mixshow Coordinator, DJ and Producer of several shows including his own project: The Launch Mixshow. Sponsored by Native Instruments' Traktor Scratch, the show featured the best in Electronic Dance Music with Sal V as Host, DJ and Producer along with special guest DJs from around the globe. This recent surge in House Music has Sal V hard at work in the studio along with co-producer Jay Wes on new productions and back out on stage for clubs and events.

Many have the idea that it came out in 1971, however it was recorded 2 years earlier, 1969.
