Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

In 1927, he came to Cincinnati to work in a factory. When the Depression hit in 1929, he lost his job but was able to get a job playing fiddle on WCKY with a group called the Bluegrass Serenaders (the name referred to the state of Kentucky, as bluegrass music had not yet been invented). In the 1930s, with Roland Gaines and Jerry Behrens, he was a member of the Range Riders, a group that moved back and forth between WCKY and KMOX in St. Louis, eventually landing at Renfro Valley, Kentucky in 1940. There, John Lair changed their name to the Mountain Rangers. Blakeman was in various groups over the years, including the Prairie Ramblers at WLW on the Midwestern Hayride in 1950. He participated in at least one of Larry Sunbrock’s infamous fiddle contests, this one at the Carthage Fairgrounds in Cincinnati in 1945, where he competed against Clayton McMichen, Natchee the Indian, and Fiddling Red Herron. He was the National Fiddling Champion in 1952, which he capitalized upon by recording two 78 rpm records on Cincinnati’s Gateway label in that year and one on the unlikely Chess label using the old Bluegrass Serenaders name. In 1979, he participated on an LP which honored Cincinnati area traditional musicians. In 1982, he put out an EP of fiddle tunes on the Musique label in Loveland. He was around the Cincinnati area for many years and had an influence on country and bluegrass fiddlers who came after him. |

Some frenzied live activity accompanied the record. Then came the legendary KICK ARSE EP, inspired by the film 'Brain Dead'. A track from it was put on a Frank Records comp which spread the word about the band around Europe. The EP was played on the Peel show in the UK, and they were invited to do a session by the great man himself!! Then Barny from Incognito asked them for a record for his anniversary release series. This spawned the PORNO ROCKER anthem. The band then split for various personal reasons, and things lay fallow for a while. All seemed dead until founder member Smith reformed the band with new members and tied up some loose end songs written before the split. That's it! | |

He was the first guitarist of [a=Raul Seixas] and one of the pioneers of the Bahian rock. In addition to being a musician, he was also a fiscal auditor of the Bahia State Treasury Department, a university professor and, more recently, became a clown, creating the characters "Zig Zig Zaa" and "Tô de Boa". Thildo began playing with his friend Raul in his teens and were two of the first rockers of Salvador, still in the 1950s. In 1962, they formed the group Relâmpagos Do Rock, along with Enelmar Chagas. The band quickly became popular in Salvador. Shortly thereafter, Chagas leaves the group and is replaced by Thildo's brother, Délcio Gama. Still in 1962, Os Relâmpagos Do Rock appear on TV Itapoan. The recording of this presentation is in the album O Baú Do Raul (1992). According to the magazine A Bahia, the band Os Relâmpagos Do Rock was the best set of rock of all the state. With the success, the group grew and was renamed The Panthers, now counting with [a=Mariano Lanat], [a=Carleba] and Carlô (neighbor of Raul, who stayed in the band until 1964), besides Raul Seixas and Thildo. Thildo left the group in 1967, not being present in Raul Seixas' first album, "Raulzito E Os Panteras", in 1967. He also participated in other bands such as Thildo E Seu Bossas E Os Jovens, and released the compact Thildo Gama E Os Terríveis by the Astor, in 1967. This compact had on side A, the song 'Bonequinha', version of Waldir Serrão for 'Pretty Woman', of [a=Roy Orbison]; On the B side there was 'Você É Inspiração' (Jeff Cezar and Thildo Gama), both songs came with the name surf, considered the first recording of a Bahian artist to designate his production within the subgenre surf music. In the 80's Thildo also participated in a group folkloric group from Bahia, making presentations in Italy and Chile. Thildo was always present in the musical scene of Salvador: he played in bands, performed several shows and recorded independent albums. In 2002, together with the auditor also fiscal Francisco Benjamin, formed the pair Beja & Gama that touched in dancing shows. In 2009, Gama performed at the Virada Cultural de São Paulo with Os Panteras, at which time they played the first Seixas album in its entirety. He died of a brain cancer, is buried in the Bosque da Paz cemetery in Salvador. |

Although skinhead style had become associated with the right-wing extremism of political groups like the National Front in the 1970s, Watson’s photographs document a time and place where the subculture was racially mixed and inclusive. His photographs were published in the books Skins (1994) and Skins and Punks (2008), and the director Shane Meadows cited them as an inspiration for his film This is England (2006). Born in the town of Thies, 70 km East of Dakar, she grew up in Dakar. Youssou N'Dour has seen her sing when she was young, and she remained in contact with him over the years. Since 2003, she has been part of Youssou's Super Etoile de Dakar as a backing vocal. Amy participated in international tours with the Super Etoile, also following the release of « Egypt », the Grammy Award-winning album with traditional musicians from Dakar as well as Egypt [1]. Amy also sang as backing vocal with Ndongo Lo and Kiné Lam [2]. In 2006, Amy Collé recorded her first album « Defar Ba Mou Baax » for the label Jololi, the label of Youssou N'Dour. The album was an instant success, and the title song is still a well-loved song in Senegal. The success seemed to have a side-effect as well, as in 2009, the singer started a legal procedure against a publicity company because of unauthorised use of the song in a TV ad for Rama butter in Senegal [3]. In 2011, she leaves Jololi and signs with the Dub Records label in the Netherlands. Amy Collé recorded with Dub Records her second album «Maturité » in 2013. With popular new songs such as « Naby », « Fans Yi » and « Sama Choix », several high-standard video clips were made, and plans were ready for an international tour. In 2019, she came back with a single « Muñel », again for Prince Arts. |
