Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 6 | Inception In Black | Inception In Black is a synth/avant-garde duo formed in 2020 after an experimental concert in Vienna sparked a creative partnership between Serbian artist Black Marine and UK-based producer Morgan King. Fusing coldwave textures with goth aesthetics and avant-synth experimentation, the duo crafts an evolving sound that ranges from brooding and dissonant to melodic and atmospheric. Their work has been described as “a rainbow of sound arching from synth-avant-garde to goth,” reflecting both their artistic range and commitment to sonic exploration. Their debut single, “Big Brush,” released in 2022 on the Accidental Music label, introduced audiences to their immersive soundscape. Subsequent releases like “Voyeur,” “Ich Suche Dich,” and “Figure of Speech” continued to expand their sonic identity, incorporating remix culture and dynamic arrangements. With Morgan King at the helm of writing and production and Black Marine delivering haunting vocal textures, Inception In Black is carving out a distinctive space in the contemporary synth and experimental music scene. | |

| Search | Add | 6 | Solaris Phase | Luca Emanuel Nicoletto Russo | Psychedelic Trance / Progressive Trance project from Austria, based in Padoue, Italy Luca Nicoletto - Solaris Phase in art, (born 1992 in Italy) is an Italian music artist with Austrian origins who lives and works around Italy and Europe. He started to create music in 2008, after an excellent drummer career in Music Accademy. Now Solaris music is concerned primarily with sounds in a variety of "soul" states, such as melody tones and noisy sounds, often using frequencies equalized on 432hz (the soul’s key). Every SOLARIS album are full of “key sounds” for the people's consciousness. Solaris says " the 432 Hz frequency sound is used to open the listeners minds and have a positively melodic music, but simultaneously psychedelic !" Rhythmically, Solaris music is highly imaginative, exploiting beat patterns and at the same times, using a variety of amazing tones to create a lovely music groove. His work is also encroaches on the world of ambient music, many tracks on his albums are slowly evolving soundscapes concerned with and with no sense of negative energy. He can create each type of music with a special personal style. Actually Solaris works on many different kinds of music: (for example): 432 Hz, Psy-Progressive, House-ProgresSive, Ambient/chill Out, Elektro, Intelligent D&B and much others.. Currently he manages in Italy an Electro-Music Corporation called "NU universe MUSIC" in collaboration with the most important electronic labels to grow together into the advanced music progression ! | Search | Add | 6 | Thomas Näfe | Thomas Näfe | Born 1968 in Darmstadt (Germany) and electronic native since the early eighties at the age of 13. The artist chose the synonym “the artist formerly unknown” because he prefers to remain in the background of his projects. His musical journey began in the mid-1980s, when he started producing electronic music in various projects – sometimes with singers, sometimes solo. In 1985, together with singer Dirk, he founded his first project, “Perspex Hearts in the Fog” (PHF). Inspired by OMD but more experimental in character, the music was programmed on a Commodore 64 using Sound Monitor software and an early sampling module. The results were low-quality synthpop tracks, attempts to blend the styles of Art of Noise, The Human League, and OMD. Two years later, in 1987, he launched “Delete Delete” with singer Manfred. This project leaned towards harder, industrial and EBM sounds, drawing influence from Klinik, aGrumh, Skinny Puppy, Throbbing Gristle, Non, Current 93, and Severed Heads, alongside pop icons such as OMD, Depeche Mode, The Human League, and New Order. A wide range of analog and digital gear shaped the sound, including the Korg MS20, Roland TB303, Casio SK1, Commodore Amiga 500, and many others. In 1988, two tapes were released, and the duo performed several unusual live shows. In 1989, keyboardist Axel joined, making the music more accessible. However, before a third tape could be completed or a potential record deal signed, the band split due to musical differences. Between 1990 and 1995, he wrote a large number of pop songs with the Roland JD800, Korg PolySix, and an Amiga 500 sequencer. Some of these tracks later resurfaced in projects such as “Commercial” and “The artist formerly unknown.” In 1996, together with singer Kai, he started the project “Banality.” They produced the demo CD Demonstration and tried to pitch it to various London-based labels, but without success, as classic 80s synthpop was out of fashion at the time. Later that year, the project was renamed “Commercial”, shifting towards a more 90s-oriented sound. Their mini-album Concepts (500 copies) was sent to numerous labels, but the feedback remained discouraging: the vocals were considered “too 80s” and the sound “not compatible with chart productions.” In 1998, the single “Forever” was released, featuring female vocalist Antonia to give it a more 90s feel. The track reached No. 1 in the local radio charts and No. 2 in the station’s year-end chart of 1998 – yet again, no label interest followed. After additional recordings and live performances, the project came to an end later that year. Since the mid-90s, his setup shifted entirely to Cubase on Mac, and in 2000 he transitioned to Logic. At first, he experimented with trance but soon decided to ignore strict genre boundaries. Under the alias “The artist formerly unknown”, he produced melodic, danceable instrumental tracks somewhere between trance, ambient, synthpop, and soundtrack. Today, he continues to produce electronic music under the name “Elekthromas” and is currently seeking a singer (male or female) to continue creating electronic pop music. |

| Search | Add | 6 | DC Da Messenger | At the age 16, DC Da Messenger was the motivating force behind a very talented singing and rap group called DC Rap Kids, which consisted largely of some very creative and innovated family members, including his younger brother and three cousins. Compositions like "World War III", "video Games", "The Smurfs", DC Rap Kids Theme" and of course "Big Chance" showed his early genius at writing with message and meaning. However, limited by lack of industry knowledge and capitol backing, the "Big Chance" never came. Eventually DC Rap Kids evolved into "DC Delinquent Teens". Da Messenger persevered and stuck to his guns, refusing to compromise his unique art form. This landed him a job with the Everyday Theater Youth Ensemble(ET), where he finally felt the "hype" of performing for more than just family and he loved it. Now more than ever, he vowed never to turn back. His experience with ET was the best thin that could have happened to Da Messenger. After Everyday Theater, Da Messenger tried to once again pull his family along, but realized that nothing happens overnight. All but one has been lost to the streets, including himself. He has never let go of his dream and remains determined to achieve whatever it was that DC Rap Kids set out to do nine years ago. He look back and wonders how many really talented undiscovered kid never get a chance to achieve their dreams, but fall victim to the stone cold street of hustling, drug abuse, robbery and everything that comes with it. On that tragic note, he dedicates the singles "AVENUE BUM RUSH",and "IT'S ON YOU". | |

| Search | Add | 6 | Hogiau Bryngwran | The group was formed around 1955-56, with members attending the same Sunday School and the same Band of Hope in the village of Bryngwran , Anglesey . At that time, before the electricity arrived at the village, the group would practice under a lamp of barfaxine, embracing each other's harmony and voices. At that time, the accompaniment followed the style of the skiff of the period, with a simple straight guitar (a tied string attached to a wooden chest), simple drums, washing wood and a mouth organ. Lonnie Donegan and his skiffy songs were a great influence on them and from the 1950's onwards, Radio Luxembourg introduced folk singers such as Hank Williams to broad audiences. The influence of such new music was seen at the Anglesey Eisteddfod in 1959 when Hogia Bryngwran and Hogia Llandegai had a fierce competition with Hogia Bryngwran winning (under the name Hogia'r Werin). As a result, the number of audiences and supporters for Hogia Bryngwran has grown in joyful evenings and concerts, as well as through radio and television. The group appeared on the Amser Te magazine program, with Myfanwy Howell presenting a program produced by TWW TV from their studio in Pontcanna , Cardiff , and also on Welsh programs that Granada would provide from their Manchester studio on for a Welsh audience in north Wales. The Hogia had their unique sound, and one of their main features was to knock Idris Hughes. In the 1960s, Neville Jones (a member of Foot Wadin) joined them, and through the sound of his Hawaiian guitar, the group's sound further developed. At the time of the National Eisteddfod of Wales, Ebbw Vale in 1958, Hogia Bryngwran was staying in the village of Cwm when they were invited to travel to Ireland to perform on Radio Eire, becoming an 'international' group if only for a moment. The record group released the Cambrian label in 1968, receiving a postal order for seven shillings and six pounds paid. | |

Sites: www.tonykasper.com, Black Nation Records, Facebook Fan Page, SoundCloud, RA Page, MixCloud, About.me Since his first experience with the electronic music world at the tender age of 13 when he became the DJ at his local rollerskating rink, Tony Kasper (who has performed previously as “Mindbender”) has kept his finger on the techno community’s pulse. Hailing from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Tony’s exposure to classic blues, jazz, and rock and roll fueled his passion for music, and for the past two decades, he’s been driving audiences with his technique and vision. Through his music, he seeks to reveal beauty and strength where others see decay and despair, and his desire resonates in his approach, simultaneously aggressive and dark, playful and funky. As the Techno Buyer at Chicago’s renowned WAXaddict Records from 2003 to 2007, Tony was able to push the boundaries of underground dance culture by hand-selecting a wide range of unique tracks to feed the scene. During his nine-year stay in the Windy City, Tony was an integral part of several promotional companies and performed at many events ranging from raves and warehouse parties to major clubs alongside internationally respected producers like Adam Beyer, Joel Mull, Alexi Delano, Pascal FEOS, Samuel L Session, Joris Voorn, The Advent, Bryan Zentz, Adam Marshall, Mike Dearborn, Cari Lekebusch, Traxx, Cajmere, Gene Hunt, Lester Fitzpatrick, Mark Verbos, Terry Mullan, and Frankie Bones. Tony has traveled throughout the United States performing in key cities like Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles, and turning the tables at venues during Miami’s Winter Music Conference and Detroit’s Movement Festival. Tony’s inimitable mixing style is highly adaptable to the ambiance of the events he plays. His history with techniques, such as using up to three turntables, and his continuing progression into digital controls and modulation combined with the rich resource of his track knowledge enables Tony to control his audience with every measure played. Tony released several tracks and remixes on labels such as Kompute Musik and Smooth Agent Records, but it wasn’t until he signed with Jay Denham’s Black Nation Records in 2010 that he had the opportunity to release his first album, Know Who You Are, featuring the international dancefloor DJ picks “Come in Earth” and “Selections.” Since 2010, Tony has released several singles, including the popular “No Sleep Required,” featured on Dave Clarke’s White Noise Radio show, and remixes, including the recent “Mufflerman” on Packed Music (Madrid). His studio mix series is available for streaming on Soundcloud, and he has been a featured artist for numerous radio broadcasts, showcasing most recently for Element 44, SUBterror Radio, CoCo.fm, and Blank Code. Currently residing in Miami with his wife and daughter, Tony continues to push his sound through its boundaries, and in addition to his anticipated 2016 releases, including his second artist album, he is seeking a degree in Audio Engineering. |

| Search | Add | 6 | Guy Blakeman | Guy Jasper Blakeman | Guy Blakeman (1911-1992). Born in Metcalfe County, Kentucky, and learned to play the fiddle at a young age. In 1927, he came to Cincinnati to work in a factory. When the Depression hit in 1929, he lost his job but was able to get a job playing fiddle on WCKY with a group called the Bluegrass Serenaders (the name referred to the state of Kentucky, as bluegrass music had not yet been invented). In the 1930s, with Roland Gaines and Jerry Behrens, he was a member of the Range Riders, a group that moved back and forth between WCKY and KMOX in St. Louis, eventually landing at Renfro Valley, Kentucky in 1940. There, John Lair changed their name to the Mountain Rangers. Blakeman was in various groups over the years, including the Prairie Ramblers at WLW on the Midwestern Hayride in 1950. He participated in at least one of Larry Sunbrock’s infamous fiddle contests, this one at the Carthage Fairgrounds in Cincinnati in 1945, where he competed against Clayton McMichen, Natchee the Indian, and Fiddling Red Herron. He was the National Fiddling Champion in 1952, which he capitalized upon by recording two 78 rpm records on Cincinnati’s Gateway label in that year and one on the unlikely Chess label using the old Bluegrass Serenaders name. In 1979, he participated on an LP which honored Cincinnati area traditional musicians. In 1982, he put out an EP of fiddle tunes on the Musique label in Loveland. He was around the Cincinnati area for many years and had an influence on country and bluegrass fiddlers who came after him. |

| Search | Add | 6 | Skinbat Scramble | Forged around the friendship of Mark Eason and Fergus Crockford, but with ever changing line-ups, flowing in and out during misspent youths, self-taught playing, falling in and out of bands, travelling that well-worn journey from Home Counties boredom to the excitement of a rough edged London, taking in as much music as possible, from Motown on to the The Velvet Underground, The Rolling Stones, Bowie, Pink Floyd, Gong and Fripp & Eno, before Dr Feelgood, Eddie & The Hotrods and a dose of John Peel led to discovering Dub and Punk and witnessing that short-lived burst of creativity at the Roxy Club, Marquee or Vortex and exploring back to early Rock’n’Roll, Rockabilly and old Surf’n’Soul, alongside the likes of Wire and Suicide. As the Post-Punk sounds mixed simultaneously with Two-Tone, local Art College gave way to university and the early struggles of finding a way in the late 70s / early 80s of Thatcher’s Britain. Music was central, Skinbat Scramble finally appearing, morphing from numerous teen bands, early studio excursions of tape loops and effects leading to the first recording sessions in 1981. The slower tempos, introspection, open structures, and shimmering experimentation of Post Punk were pivotal. John Foxx’s early Ultravox, Siouxsies’ “Lord’s Prayer” period and The Electric Chairs seminal “So Many Ways”, influenced to a freer future. PIL, ACR, Section 25 and Pink Military let imaginations briefly roam. ‘Far out and weird’, those first recordings made at Leeds Uni’s Fine Arts Dept utilized Revoxes, Tandberg, MiniMoog and even a borrowed drummer. This was followed up with completed sessions at Elephant Studios in London, forming the basis of a myriad of music that was unreleased for 20 years but is now seeing the light of day, first in a series of compilation CDs and a 2 x LP on Emotional Rescue. | |
