Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025

Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Nachtamt Hans Versteeg It’s all about versatility and mood for dutch DJ and producer Nachtamt. Genre comes second place to the desires of bringing ideas into actuality and his contrast of electronic styles affirms this. The music is one aspect, sound the other. Both are equally important in the creative process. His tracks are sometimes intended to portray an opinion or some dissatisfaction at the world. However, Nachtamt more often lets his ideas flow from an ambiguous creative torrent, giving the listener freedom to interpret his crafted palette of sounds and their use to conjure their own aural impressions in the mind. His musical journey begins in the early eighties. Captivated by the electronic elements and grooves of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” album and the synth sounds from the likes of Eurythmics and New Order, a youthful Hans Versteeg develops his interest and love for electronic music. And while piano lessons at an early age enhance his understanding of melody and structure, he begins also to appreciate a broader spectrum of music genres. In particular, he gets into the tougher sounds of early nineties US rap and the intensities and pace of the dutch techno scene. It is at Rotterdam’s infamous Parkzicht however, where his passion for house and techno is truly ignited and his burning desire to create his own tracks is forged. Countless weekends spent at the club listening assiduously and getting down to DJs Rob, Ludie, Ricky da Dragon and Stanton inspires Nachtamt and within a short period of time he gets his first residency at “Twilight” - a night at the club. The release of “Blue Sky” (Twilight Records) by DD Zion, who are colleagues at the club, convince him to get producing and creating. Production techniques at that point in time, are a little different to his methods used today, in that his early material is created on a Commodore Amiga and an old PC using Fasttracker - a sample based sequencing program. Nachtamt continues to use Fasttracker to produce music for over a decade while continuing his DJing around Rotterdam. In 2013, after a change of production software and equipment, he logs onto Estroe’s electronic music advice site, www.estroe-advice.com and starts the latest chapter of his story. During the first session with Estroe, Nachtamt breaks through the compositional barriers and editing limitations of Fasttracker and explores rejuvenated freedoms with his new setup. With that change comes a deluge of fresh ideas for Nachtamt. Estroe picks up on his creative talent and after a few more sessions it’s agreed that he should release an ep on Estroe’s “Rosedale Records”. His “Enhanced Awareness” ep (ROSE010) is out on December 7th 2015. And so begins the future for Nachtamt. 2016 and onwards looks bright for the journey ahead. Music, as always, plays a huge part in his life and will continue to do so.

Search Add 2 One Inch Men Mario Bree, Gerben van der Aa, Harold Aling, Rob van Breugel, Jarno van Osch One Inch Men are five guys from Tilburg (The Netherlands) producing stoner-metal. They started out in 2002 as a triplet, now evolved to a 5 piece heavy band. Their main sources of inspiration are the groovy sounds and musical impact of bands like Kyuss and Karma to Burn. Hence the name of the band, ‘One Inch Men’, which has been inspired by the Kyuss’ song One Inch Man. Contrary to what one might expect from the band’s name, One Inch Men’s music has evolved into a mix of heavy stoner-rock mixed with an increasingly manifest metal edge. Their grooving riffs are interlaced with the sound of bands like Alice in Chains and Velvet Revolver. Impact guaranteed, live as well as in the studio! Line-Up: Vocals - Mario Bree Guitar - Gerben van der Aa Guitar - Harold Aling Bass - Rob van Breugel Drums - Jarno van Osch

Search Add 2 Augusti Augusti, a member of Duo Ghoul's Hammer, launched his solo project with great motivation and experience acquired over time. Always passionate about music, first listening to a lot of hip hop, rap, rock, metal. He discovered electronic music at the age of 14 and it was a revelation. At the age of 16, he began to compose Hardcore on a Hardware machine, but very quickly he sold his equipment and began to work with computer music. At the age of 18 he started DJing. Determined, his productions range from Industrial Techno to Acid Techno while passing through Industrial Hardcore and Crossbreed. He has produced two industrial techno EPs for Darkness Sprawls Records and recently a Crossbreed remix on vinyl for DTK Records. His DJ sets are filled with energy, rhythm, and Techno style combinations, letting the public navigate and evolve between the styles that inspire Augusti with always the same vision: Industrial and Dancefloor.

Search Add 2 Nazti Skinz NAZTI SKINZ’ brilliant concept consisted of four talented and well known personalities who only wanted to play five shows, write six songs, and release 500 copies of a crummy looking record. This, they thought, would safely undercut the probability of ultimately sucking as most bands do. As a result, they cashed all their chips in here and recorded the most brilliant single nobody’s ever heard. A one time pressing of 500 copies that vanished faster than they did.

Search Add 2 George Chittenden George has been playing Balkan and Near Eastern music since the mid-1970s, having previously become familiar with the music through his experience as a dancer and performer. He has studied music extensively abroad, focusing primarily on regional dance music of northern Greece and Anatolian Turkey. This has included traveling to remote corners of both countries to experience the social celebrations in which music plays such a central role, as well as learning regional styles from both rural and professional musicians. George performs regularly for ethnic communities and for folk music and dance events throughout the country and has toured abroad. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife Lise and plays with two bands; Ziyiá and Édessa, known for playing high-energy dance music of the southern Balkans.

Search Add 2 Joe Marmilich Joe Marmilich, Sr., Joe Marmilich was born on February 28, 1924. His parents were John Marmilich, a well known and gifted tamburaši, and Helen (Dellich) Marmilich. Their other son, William, passed away at a young age. Joe began his musical career in 1935 at age 11. At age 13, Joe was playing the bugarija in his father John's band. About 1940, John led The Happy Hearts, a family band which included Joe on bass and the three girls -- Millie, Katie, and Louise. The Happy Hearts played together for nearly 10 years. By now, Joe was writing music they used in their appearances. Also, in 1944, Joe married Caroline Scacchetti. Their marriage was blessed with a son, Joe Jr. The Marmilich girls also married and became know as Mildred Markulin, Katie Pezell, and Louise Repko. Joe joined George Skrbina's Balkan Serenaders in the late 1940s, playing second brać. Their many 78 RPM records and years of radio programs made The Balkan Serenaders known far and wide. In 1950, Joe joined Dave Zupkovich and his Balkan Recording Orchestra playing both the cello and second brać. Joe Matacic played lead brać, John Krilich played bass, and Dave sang lead and played the bugarija. During this time, Joe also formed The Slav Serenaders and in 1956 rejoined George Skrbina. In 1963, Joe formed the Marjon Recording Orchestra and recorded its first LP record featuring his rendition of the now famous "Mama Draga Mama". They also made two LPs of just kolo tunes and Joe became known as "The Kolo King". Joe passed on his love and knowledge of tambura to his son, Joe Marmilich, Jr., who began playing bugarija at the age of 14. For the next 26 years, father and son, along with numerous other tamburaši, performed throughout the tri-state area. Joe Marmilich, Sr., devoted over 60 years of his life to tambura music and also gave 37 years to the Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co. in its electric repair shop, retiring in 1997. Joe was an active member of the Infant of Prague Guild of Campbell's St. John's Church and the CFU Lodge 185, also of Campbell, Ohio. Joe was also a member of Struthers, Ohio, AARP chapter.

Search Add 2 Elfredo Oben rechts. Filterzigarette. Da geht noch was. Bandmitglieder Me myself and I Motto *GBZ* keep it real!! Liebt euch!!! Viva la revolution!!! Esst mehr Tomaten!! Was mich zornig macht...

Search Add 2 Antony Micallef Antony Micallef is a British contemporary artist and painter working in London (born 1975). Micallef was notably taught by the austere landscape painter [a=John Virtue], who was taught by the postwar painter [a=Frank Auerbach]. Antony appeared on the British art scene after being a prize winner of the BP Portrait Award competition. Since then, his mix of political imagery fused with contemporary expressionism has won him worldwide acclaim. His heavily laden, texture-rich canvases are reminiscent of artists as diverse as Auerbach, Kossoff, the White Russian-French painter [a=Chaïm Soutine] and the British painter [a=Walter Richard Sickert], whose works explore and ultimately foreground the pure materiality of the medium of paint.

Search Add 2 QL Research Luigi De Donà (1978 † 2009) QL Research is an industrial EBM project by Luigi De Donà, recorded when he was only 18 years old, in 1996, in his room in Limana, a small industrialised suburb of Belluno stretched out in the valley at the foothills of the Dolomites, in the northeast of Italy. He recorded on cassette using a 386DX computer with a Soundblaster and a Yamaha DX7, distributing the tape independently by hand at the Istituto Tecnico Negrelli in Feltre (BL), where he was attending a computer course. The experience of his older brother Spectrum 48K firing 8-bit sounds led him to delve deeper into the issue and develop a sort of sir Clive Sinclair cult. Years later he began programming and exploring the FM synthesis, while wearing a Manchester United scarf. In 2006, the company he worked for registered a patent in the US under his name: “Intelligent multicast module at the application level for multimedia transmission”. Publication number: 20060098664. Luigi died on 16 April 2009 at the age of 30 from an aggressive form of brain cancer, leaving behind a three-year-old daughter. A few months earlier, when his brother was supposed to take the disc with the last medical examinations to the head doctor, he had said to him: -Just bring the doctor a Throbbing Gristle CD.-
