Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Terry Pazmiño | Classic concertist born in Quito, Ecuador. Pazmiño belongs to a generation of composers and virtuousos who demystified the European influences and rediscovered popular music from Latin America. The work of Pazmiño is the result of a constant search of his roots, enriched with frequent tours around the world; and it has progressively become an approach to the indigenous sources, and it gives a great variety of tendencies. In his youth, he dominated the forms of the Ecuadorian popular music, such as the sanjuanito, pasillo, capishca and yumbo. Subsequently, he traveled to Venezuela and France to study with three masters of the instrument: Antonio Lauro, Alirio Diaz and Alberto Ponce. For nine years he lived and studied in Sydney, Australia, where he achieved a "Honours Masters" degree from the university of Western Sydney; there he disclosed the South American folk music. Many of his compositions are derived from andean Quichua and Latin American music. Pazmiño has biult a singular repertoire based on the urban popular music, capturing the magical realism of the daily life. He has offered recitals and concerts in the greatest rooms of 42 countries, including the "Sydney Opera House" and the "Carnegie Hall" of New York, sharing a work that gives power, originality, magic, simplicity, enchantment and freshness, all from one guitar. The critics say "... as in music everything has been told, Terry re-tells the same stories, but in a different way ". From his extensive musical production, several pieces deserve special distinction: the composition "Cantata to November 15th of 1922", Booklet "20 harmonizations of Ecuadorian music for guitar", 15 books of "Ecuadorian music for duets, trios and guitar soloists", the "Treasures of Music" collection, "Songs for a New World", and "Concert of the Andes". He has produced 10 cassettes and 4 compact discs, with arrangements and compositions that has become the most faithful testimony of his work. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | 柏華閩劇團 | After the Pacific War, considering the legitimacy of the country (ROC), diplomatic policy and commercial benefits, many Taiwanese opera troupes accepted invitations to perform in Southeast Asia. In October, 1964, some overseas Chinese merchants in Singapore and Malaysia hosted the Bohua Hokkien Opera Troupe, which comprised of fifty actors and actresses from northern Taiwan and Xintaiguang Taiwanese Opera Troupe based in southern Taiwan. Bohua was the first Taiwanese opera troupe to perform in Singapore after World War II. During the one and a half years it performed in Singapore and Malaysia, Bohua not only made commercial performances in amusement parks but also took part in some outdoor religious festivals and gave some charity shows in national theatres and at other occasions. Besides, it was invited by a local Singaporean record company to make records for sale and made regular broadcasts on Rediffusion Golden Radio. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Freres Peur | Freres Peur | The Freres Peur (Jeremie Lasseuax, Circus Disfus, Gresio Lubbia, Languido Policorvio, Seflü Onglet and Peur Whis) are an European art collective best known for avant-garde and experimental music, multimedia works, famous for being the founders of the Rumedelic Music. Throughout the group's existence, the individual members have ostensibly attempted to operate under anonymity preferring, instead, to have attention focused on their art output. Much outside speculation and rumour has focused on this aspect of the group. In public, the group appears hidden behind a huge Plasmatron often wearing noisy helmets and dressed as elephants. Although the Freres Peur developed a substantial following and generated considerable press coverage, they never released a record until 2013. The Freres Peur hail from Sumanie (France), where they met in high school in the 1980s. In 1986 the members headed south, but after their truck broke down in Arvier (Aosta Valley), they decided to remain there. While attempting to make a living, they began to experiment with tape machines, photography, and anything remotely to do with art that they could get their hands on. Word of their experimentation spread and in 1979, an Italian guitarist and multi-instrumentalist named Gresio Lubbia and the mysterious Circus Disfus (whom Lubbia had picked up in Belgrad where the aged avant-gardist was recording dogs singing) paid them a visit, and decided to remain. The two Italians would become great influences on the band, Lubbia's guitar playing technique earned him the nickname Aquarium Player. The group purchased crude recording equipment, instruments and began to make tapes, refusing to let an almost complete lack of musical proficiency stand in the way. In 1982 the group began to make the first of their unreleased tapes. Rumors have surfaced of two (of perhaps hundreds) unreleased reel-to-reel items titled "Northern ballads of The Dumb Elephant with the Czech Chameleons". The album has never been released in any form, and until 2013 they did not record any albums or single. In many says there are lots of tapes dating back decades, but they were all recorded before the group had officially become "The Freres Peur" so the band does not consider them to be part of their discography. Since 1980 they have performed only in secret and very few live performances, all carried out inside the forests of the Aosta Valley. In 2001 the former member of the band Jeremie Lasseuax left the Freres Peur. He was replaced by the follower of acousmatic music known with the nickname of Languido Policorvio. Until 2009, they have always refused to record their music, stating that the real music is that which does not exist, one made at random. In 2009, the first Freres Peur composition (Black Flesh) in more than 30 years was available on the Internet. In 2013 their first single record will be available on their label "Rumedelic Records". Near the end of 2013, Gresio Lubbia felt some of his own creative contributions were going unrecognised. At the end of 2013, with a recording session already booked to record another album, Lubbia quit the Freres Peur. In January 2014, the group added Peur Whis as the fifth member of the Freres Peur. |

Jorgensen grew up in the Bronx, New York City. Shortly after graduating from high school in 1945, she was drafted into the U.S. Army for World War II. After her service she attended several schools, worked, and around this time heard about transitioning surgery. She traveled to Europe and in Copenhagen, Denmark, obtained special permission to undergo a series of operations starting in 1951. She returned to the United States in the early 1950s and her transformation was the subject of a New York Daily News front page story. She became an instant celebrity, using the platform to advocate for transgender people and became known for her directness and polished wit. She also worked as an actress and nightclub entertainer and recorded several songs

In 1972, [a=Robert L. Taylor (2)], head of the Vocal Music Department and organizer of the group, reorganized the Ebons under the name of Mixed Chorus II (as "Ebons" taken from the word "Ebony" could not be used in the public school system). The Ebons were invited to participate in the Midwest Gospel Festival in Wichita, Kansas where they were awarded first place as the best gospel ensemble in the Midwest Region. The group disbanded following the 1973 school year and the departure of Mr. Taylor due to him accepting a teaching position at the University of Missouri- Kansas City's Conservatory of Music. In 1974, former members of the 'high school' Ebons, Diane Redic and Carol (Patterson) McCracken met with Mr. Taylor about reorganizing the group. The original members of the Ebons, then out of high school, were joined by other members of the Kansas / Missouri areas to re-organize the Ebon Contemporary Singers, as an independent group. The Christ Ebons recorded two albums. With the proceeds from the first album 1979's "Perfect Peace", the group opened an educational center called The Blue Hills Youth Project. The second album "Relax in Jesus" was released in 1984.

| Search | Add | 2 | Mark R Taylor | Mark Richard Bush Taylor | From the composer: I was born in the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel, on 7th October 1961, to a working family with roots in rural Essex (NE of London, England), where I still reside. My maternal great-grandfather led the town band on the penny whistle; in 1904, Vaughan Williams collected folk-songs in the road where he lived, though I've no evidence Charles sang to VW! Electrified as a boy of 4 by the sound of my mother playing the piano at home, I demanded she teach me, made precocious progress, and almost at once commenced writing my own little pieces. Very lucky with early teachers, I progressed with scholarships to Brentwood School, where such music as there was remained largely extra-curricular (though Art and Languages were strong). I was chosen to play to Dame Fanny Waterman at a young pianists' masterclass at the 1975 Aldeburgh Festival; after lessons at the Royal Academy of Music with Alexander Kelly (later Head of Keyboard there), in 1978 I gained the ARCM Performer's Diploma, and was Regional Finalist in the BBC 'Young Musician Of The Year' Competition. I was by this time playing concertos with orchestras, including as rehearsal-pianist to the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, having been noticed by their Musical Director when she was adjudicating locally. I'd become a voracious devotee of the BBC's new-music output, and had, furthermore, discovered for myself such seminal books as Michael Nyman's 'Experimental Music: Cage And Beyond', and had now already produced compositions I continue to acknowledge. In 1979 I gained an Open Scholarship to read Classics & Modern Languages at the University of Oxford; before taking it up, in 1980, I played to Jorge Bolet at a week of masterclasses at the Edinburgh Festival. Once at Oxford, I changed subject to read Music; I performed (studying now with Susan Bradshaw), wrote music-criticism for undergraduate publications, ran the University Contemporary Music Group, and joined the (non-University) composers' collective 'Soundpool'. Accepted for Post-Graduate study, but denied a grant by the policies of the Thatcher government, I worked, being asked to teach in the Music Department of Royal Holloway, University of London, from 1986, and subsequently at King's College, London, and in the Music Faculty at Oxford (this latter leading in due course to Lectureships, at Lincoln College, Lady Margaret Hall, and Oriel), whilst also giving pre-concert talks at the Wigmore Hall, and tutoring for the Workers' Educational Association. I had sought out first Howard Skempton and subsequently Horatiu Radulescu for guidance on composition; hailed as 'very different and quite remarkable' (Richard Barrett, in 'Tempo', 1988), and as an early avatar of what would come to be dubbed 'The New Complicity' (Geoff Hannan and others' term, to connote that particularly 1990's aesthetic convergence of the European avant-garde with American Experimentalism), my music -- solo and chamber -- was to be taken up by such distinguished interpreters as John Tilbury, Julian Jacobson, Ian Pace, Carl Rosman, Darragh Morgan, and Michael Finnissy; increasing exposure, nationally and internationally, saw it released on CD on the French 'Do' label in 1992, as well as being broadcast and published. I was also Featured Composer at new music festivals in Oxford (1992), Cardiff ('Explorations', 1999), and London (2000). My close involvement with artists working in visual media has led to invitations to exhibit in my own right, in London and in Amsterdam (this latter, in 2002, under the aegis of the British Council). The recent enthusiasm of New York-based pianist Teodora Stepančić has resulted in her releasing an entire album of my music, on the 'Another Timbre' label (2018). |

| Search | Add | 2 | My_Kayla | Micháela Penn | Hip-Hop has infatuated My_Kayla since her adolescence. Born Micháela Penn in Cleveland, OH the gifted artist wrote her first rap at age 7 which later led to a hobby of freestyling, poetry and songwriting. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Nicki Minaj she went on to drop the local hit 2bb, but eventually took some time off from music to focus on obtaining a master’s degree. In 2018 her comeback was a cover to Lil Wayne’s record Mona Lisa (feat. Kendrick Lamar) which she titled 'Set Mona Off'; the viral song is a no hook, bar -for-bar tale that distinguishes My_Kayla as a true lyricist and storyteller similar to that of J. Cole and Ms. Lauryn Hill. Building off the momentum, she released her debut album, The 20th Summer which was praised as “Perfection” by LA On Lock. Inspired by good kid, m.A.A.d city (Deluxe), the cohesive album tells the story of the rapper’s final summer home from college. It contrasted the fantasy of how she thought her summer should go with the stark reality of how it went, it is a grand statement about finding inspiration in the face of disappointment. My_Kayla's versatility attracted the attention of execs in the music publishing industry which led to placements with The Food Network, NBA on TNT as well as other commercials and trailers. In fall 2021 she released the single Toxic displaying a more melodic sound and redesigned production. Her latest single Dennis Rodman is projected to be her biggest hit to date. |
