Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Janice Maynard | Janice Maynard, new traditional country artist straight from the heart of Texas, has been defined as Lee Ann Womack, Rhonda Vincent, and Tammy Wynette all wrapped up in one little package. Born into a musical family, then later marrying into one, has made singing country music a way of life for her. She started singing publicly in church, then began doing studio work; cutting demos and background vocals. All of which led to her discovering what a deep passion she has for sharing the God given talent that she has been blessed with. Her pure heart felt vocals are matched up perfectly with the songs on her debut album There’s A Better Way. Songs that will touch you and that will make you feel like she’s lived them by the way she delivers them. | |

Scott Lasser and Laurel Mydock, former bandmates in the short-lived garage band The Downcasts, established The 75s in late 2006. Mydock and Lasser practiced on their own for a couple of months, all the while searching for a female bass player who would be willing to sing backup and lead when needed. After placing several online ads, they were finally contacted via Myspace by Morgan Nusbaum, formerly of the St. Louis space/funk/punk collective Galaxy Rock Meats William. The 75s broke up very quietly in June 2010, not too long after they played their final show at the Record Bar in Kansas City. In September 2011, they were named "Best Band To Die in the Past 12 Months" by the RFT. Nusbaum formed [a3606831] with drummer [a915563] of [a2794289] shortly before The 75s split up. Mydock and Lasser went on to form Thee Have Loves with former Downcasts bandmate [a5498522] in 2012. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | The Dominican Jazz Project | The Dominican Jazz Project began when Dominican born jazz artist, Guillo Carias, invited American jazz pianist, Stephen Anderson, to perform with him and local players for the 2014 Jazzomania Jazz Festival in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, that was hosted by Tony Dominguez and Carlos Francisco Elías. The concert and associated clinic went beautifully, and the drummer, Guy Frómeta, invited Anderson to return to Santo Domingo to perform with him in his group for the Casa de Teatro Jazz Festival a few months later. It was there that Anderson met Sandy Gabriel, tenor saxophonist. Their collective friendship grew further with that experience, and following the festival, they agreed to record together. The result was their 2016 self titled CD release, The Dominican Jazz Project, that was recorded in the days following the UNC Summer Jazz Workshop where the artists served as guest faculty and where Anderson serves as director. The recording represented Summit Records on the ballots of the 17th Annual Latin Grammy Awards as well as on the ballots of the 59th Grammy Awards. It was listed in Ken Frackling's "2016's Best Latin/Brazilian jazz recordings," was decribed as being "full of creative energy and the joy of musical discovery" by Mark Sullivan at All About Jazz, and the band was called a "national pride" at the 2019 Dominican Republic Jazz Festival. Since 2014, the DJP has performed at numerous festivals in the Dominican Republic and has toured performing at universities and jazz clubs across the United States. What intrigued Anderson when he first visited the Dominican Republic is that while Dominican musicians are very much at home playing Afro-Cuban/clave-based music, their traditional music also has a variety of other lesser known grooves that are not commonly played in Latin jazz today outside of the Dominican Republic. And while the Dominican piano tumbao patterns sound similar to Cuban montuno patterns, they are constructed differently harmonically and rhythmically. Anderson was also surprised that these Dominican were so interested in modern American jazz, and that Sandy Gabriel’s compositions, in some ways, were very similar to the aesthetic that he had been developing in the Stephen Anderson Trio recordings in recent years. Sandy is an entirely self-taught saxophonist, having no formal training. When asked how he learned to play so well, Sandy relayed that he learned from transcribing Michael Brecker solos, responding affirmably, “He was the best.” After returning home, Anderson spent several months deeply researching Dominican music, transcribing various piano tumbao patterns, as well as other traditional grooves, like the Mangulina, Pambiche, Ga-Ga, and the Palo. Based on these and other grooves, he composed five new charts for the project, and Sandy Gabriel, Guillo Carias, and Carlos Luis contributed the other six compositions found on the recording. The Dominican Jazz Project CD, Desde Lejos, was recorded remotely during the 2020-21 pandemic with members of the band living in the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Puerto Rico, and North and South Carolina. The longtime bassist for the DJP, Jeffry Eckels, passed away unexpectedly July 3, 2020 right as the band was preparing to record. The band experienced hospitalization or death of close family members during the pandemic, and the recording demonstrates how the group worked together (from "far away") daily using different home or professional studios to produce a new CD during that challenging time. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | The Kobielush Brothers | The Kobielush brothers come from a family of five boys. They were raised in a country home in Northern Wisconsin where they developed a fondness for the out-of-doors. Such an environment provided time for the brothers to gather around the piano and sing their favorite gospel songs. The eldest brother, Bob, resides with his wife JoAnn in Los Angeles, California where he is a seminary student. Jim and his wife Ann live in Iowa where he is employed by an insurance company. Bruce is the youngest of the trio. He played the piano, sings the baritone, and does the musical arranging for the group. One of his compositions, 'I'll Be Ready, Lord, To Go', is heard on this record. Bruce is a freshman at Bethel College in St. Paul where he will major in music. Dave sings the lead tenor and is a student at the University of Wisconsin where he is preparing for a career in social welfare. He enjoys listening to gospel music and like sports of all kinds. Don sings the first tenor and is also a student at the University of Wisconsin. He likes hunting and enjoys studies in the natural sciences. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Max Fowler-Roy | Max Fowler‑Roy is a Brisbane‑based double bassist and multi‑instrumentalist whose documented activity spans more than a decade across jazz, punk, noise, drone, and experimental music. Active since the early 2010s, his work moves fluidly between small‑ensemble improvisation, one‑off collaborations, interdisciplinary projects, and solo performance. His recorded output reflects this. Releases associated with Fowler‑Roy include Relentless Communion (with Massimo Magee and Tim Green, 2014), Poussez (Massimo Magee, 2014), Cunts (Anal Fleece, 2018), 5 Works for 2 Basses (ATOPOS/Antikythera Mechanism, 2023), and Plough Through the Rust (Scrabbled, 2025). Issued on micro‑labels and independent imprints, these recordings document the range of ensembles, methods, and sonic approaches he has worked within. A significant thread in Fowler‑Roy’s practice is his involvement with Scrabbled, appearing on their 2014 cassette Welcome to Pig City. Led by long‑standing Brisbane dissident Bek Moore (Clag), Scrabbled brought together musicians from Extrafoxx, Dag, Primitive Motion, Per Purpose, Muura, X Wave, Sun of the Seventh Sister, Gravel Samwidge, Bent, and Dragster. The project bridged generations of Brisbane’s underground, linking the 1980s post‑punk lineage with younger experimental players. Moore’s framing of the album as a return to the political terrain of Andrew Stafford’s Pig City situates the group within Brisbane’s tradition of resistance‑driven artmaking. Fowler‑Roy’s role in this ensemble places him within that broader continuum of musicians using experimental practice as cultural critique. Fowler‑Roy’s work also extends into contemporary classical and cross‑disciplinary performance. He appears as a performer in the Queensland Conservatorium’s 2023 staging of Julius Eastman’s Femenine, directed by Rebecca Lloyd‑Jones and featuring faculty members including Tim Munro, Erik Griswold, Graeme Jennings, Martin Kay, Thomas Green, and Skylar Sansome. This project highlights his capacity to move between experimental improvisation and structured contemporary repertoire. Within Brisbane’s experimental art spaces, he is documented as the bassist in Guardia Civil, a duo with drummer Tony Irving presented at the Institute of Modern Art’s Free Range 4 program (2025). The event describes the project as a collision of Irving’s “non‑linear drumming cyclone” with Fowler‑Roy’s “low‑pressure bass system,” framing the duo as a high‑intensity free‑improvising unit. In the Brisbane International Jazz Festival, Fowler‑Roy appears as the bassist in Thee Alluvial Quartet, performing improvisation‑led compositions by Sophie Min, Martin Kay, and Fowler‑Roy himself, with the ensemble also interpolating Messiaen. The group’s BIJF x Burnt Jazz performance featured Min (piano), Kay (woodwinds), Timothy Green (drums), and Fowler‑Roy (double bass), further situating him within Brisbane’s contemporary jazz and experimental‑composition communities. His presence within Brisbane’s broadcast and community‑radio ecology is also noted through appearances of his work on 4ZZZ’s No Guitars Allowed, reinforcing his position within the city’s experimental and improvised‑music networks. Alongside collaborative projects, Fowler‑Roy maintains an active solo practice centred on extended bass techniques, long‑tone minimalism, resonance, and textural exploration. His ongoing performances and recordings continue to circulate through online archives, small‑run releases, and documentation from Brisbane’s experimental venues, festivals, and artist‑run initiatives. | |
