Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026

Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Vincent Stout Born in Baltimore, MD on June 25, 1976. My exposure to metal came early on. By the time I was seven, my older brothers had already turned me on to bands like Black Sabbath and Rush. And I heard of bands like Voivod, D.R.I. and Metallica through schoolmates. From there I moved on to Slayer, Possessed, Death, C.O.C. etc... I got my first drum kit for Christmas when I was nine years old and learned how to play For Whom The Bell Tolls (Metallica) that summer. From that point on, I never looked back, and drums have remained in my life ever since. My style is influenced by many different genres of music, including jazz, funk, classical, folk, r&b, be-bop and more. However those are just the branches on the tree, the trunk is all metal. I began playing in bands almost immediately and would continue to until my mid twenties. The most notable of which was a band named Chemical Dependency out of Essex, MD. After that, I met my wife and started focusing on stable employment and although drumming never left my blood I had to put the sticks down for awhile. My current projects are the band Caught, and my solo project Farmacyde. Some of my favorite bands are: Black Sabbath, Rush, Death, C.O.C., Crowbar, Biohazard, Sepultura, Return To Forever, Buddy Rich, Charlie Hunter, Cream, Primus, The Dubliners and many more.

Search Add 2 Melangia The name MELANGIA translates as "melancholy" in our native Catalan tongue. et me introduce you MELANGIA, a project based on an old composition of a very well known Death metal band here from early 90's called Mortal Mutilation (RIP). The song which composes this exercise so called "Rèquiem", was originally composed in 1994 for that band, but never recorded until now, with a text in Catalan and 3 original members behind. Those members have passed through other very well known bands here, as Argar, Atman, Spectre or Grim Funeral. Now, under NEGRE PLANY, the new sublabel created for the slower doomish sounds by Negra Nit distro, we see finally released this 7 chapters piece in 1 single track on a limited Digipack edition. Mine is the pleasure of adding the vocals and bass to the whole piece, with lyrics in Catalan. Thrash’et - Drums Darshan - Lead & Rhythm Guitars Carlos - Lead & Rhythm Guitars, Effects Fiar - Vocals & bass

They played at "Willie's" on Whitney Avenue. When Tom, Yetta and Bob joined the service, they were replaced by Woody Valiant, Vic Foquet, Ronnie Barrosse, and Carroll Freeman, who was later replaced by Eddie Hynes and "The Fidelities" were formed. Besides playing at the V.F.W. in Westwego and "Noses" Lounge in Gretna, these guys won many battle of the bands. In 1958, Carroll, Woody, and Billy joined Bobby Lonero's band with J.V. Papania and played for about a year at "Bob White's" in Biloxi, backing up big names as Ike Clanton and Brenda Lee. Later Billy played spot jobs with guys like C.J. Cheramie, Carroll Boudreaux, and Johnny Bonvillain. Billy served 4 1/2 years in the army and after his discharge, he played with "The Stokes," who first recorded "Whipped Cream" written by Allen Toussaint, which later became a big hit for Herb Albert and the Tijuana Brass. He also spent some time in Killeen, Texas in Ike & Tina Turner's band. Billy also recorded "Yuka Chuka Tee Ta Ta" on the Tower Record label under the name of K. C Russell. In early 1971, Billy played at the Cellar Club in Gretna with Mel Douglas, Carmen Vaccaro, and C.J. Cheramie. Then in July of 1971, Billy opened The Round Table with the "New Orleans Levee Board" whose original members were C.J. Cheramie, Sidney Snow, Barabara Galle, and Billy. Later Sidney was replaced by Danny Hebert. Also during 1973, 74 & 75 Billy and Tracey Charles were owners and general managers of the Gretna Bengals, a semi-pro football team. In 1976, Billy opened the Fat Cat Club on Gretna Boulevard. The Celebrity Club was opened in 1988, with Billy, Danny Hebert, Walter Barrilleaux, Steve Marco, and Judy & Sheena Anderson. Then in 1991, Billy crossed the river to Bourbon Street and opened Jelly Rom's with his big band. While Al Hirt was performing upstairs, Allen Robinson, Doc Paulin, Ronnie Boudreaux, A.J. Pittman, Snakebite, Ray Shall, Steve Adams, Lenny McDaniel, Danny Hebert, and Billy, rocked downstairs.

Search Add 2 Ethan Griggs Ethan Samuel Griggs As the sun illuminates through the vibe-stained alleyways of Denver, Colorado, Ethan Griggs looks out at the city from his quarters and gazes upon the colors of the sunset in fall. Pink and blue collide and conceive a beautiful glow of light that shines on the buildings, creating more color in the sky, which reflect off his mind and create a gigantic Droste effect of aesthetic. It feels like he's living in a rainbow. This is perhaps a good way to describe his music at this point... A multi-instrumentalist of many years, one could say that Griggs's main vehicle of expression, or the one he's most in control of, is his voice; Griggs has been singing since the age of 3. At his Denver Alma matter Denver School of the Arts, he studied in the Theatre major, earning many leading roles in the department's musical theatrical productions. Now 22, Ethan further pursued a career in music throughout his teen years. At the age of 15 he formed his first band, Youth In Conflict, and frequently played around the Denver area for a total of approximately 30 shows in the band's year-long life span (on top of homework, of course.) The group gained acclaim in the Denver music scene by entering in annual Battle of the Bands competitions and playing venues such as the Ogden, Oriental, and Marquis theaters. In one of the annual battles judged by Grammy Award-winner Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic, he called Griggs's sense of song structure, melody, and lyrics "instinctive." He gave the group second place in the competition. Ethan later was involved with creating the Denver folk-collective ClusterFolk. The group also gained moderate notoriety around the Denver scene, having the opportunities of playing at the prestigious Bluebird and Gothic Theaters. In the same BOB competition, the year after Youth In Conflict won, Isaac Slade of the Grammy Award-nominated band The Fray gave the group third place, stating that band "sound drunk, but in the best way possible." Using prize money from the event, the collective recorded their debut EP Brighter & Brighter at Maxwell Studios in Highlands Ranch, with Griggs contributing two of the four songs and arranging all of them. The EP was released independently in February of 2012. Now that he's getting closer to closing the door on his college career at University of Colorado Denver, Ethan is excited to further bud out as a writer and artist in the Denver music scene. In April of 2015, he was a finalist in the CU Denver Songwriting contest, judged by the one and only Todd Rundgren, whom Ethan got to open for when he played a concert at the school the next night. The song in question, "Mind Gardening Girl", was released on Griggs's first EP, Transient, which is available on all major streaming services.

Search Add 2 Rob Staley Rob Staley is a talented young Country Music artist living in Los Angeles, California. Since relocating from his small hometown of Plattsburgh, in rural upstate New York, Rob is quickly becoming a part of the fabric of the So-Cal country music scene. Rob, the 26 year old country singer/guitarist, has not only talent and ability, but a genuine love and respect for “Real Country Music”… the kind performed by the great country legends, both past and present. Rob is “natural”, and he doesn’t have to struggle to sound like a country singer. His vocal style, while very polished and unique, is reminiscent of some of his favorite country idols, (Alan Jackson, Dwight Yoakam, Faron Young, etc…). His current live performances are geared towards country and western line-dance clubs, casinos and pretty much anywhere that enjoys good quality country music. Live performances range from smooth classic and current country to all out “roadhouse” and “honky tonk”. One of Rob’s many achievements since moving to L.A. has been the formation of an amazing band featuring a line up of top-notch country musicians, all pros and all veterans of both the Nashville and L.A. recording and live music scenes. The next steps will be recording and album and booking more clubs, casinos, corporate events, etc. Although he won’t boast to the face, Rob Staley is “Real Country”, you could say, “The Real Deal”… but he will readily tell you that he is proud to be a country singer and proud to be apart of the great American tradition of country and Western Music.

Search Add 2 Lars DK Nielsen Danish keyboards player. The Modern Musical Tale of the Ugly Duckling … LarsDK was only 9 years old when he first threw his organ in Dad’s car and stayed driven to work. It was the start of several thousand jobs in Zealand assembly houses, sports halls and for town parties. There was no doubt in the young LarsDK’s musical mind which way he went should be alive … A life of music. Cut to many years later, when you almost can’t open a television program, turn on a radio or watch a concert without LarsDK. All of a sudden, things went strong from the assembly houses to the boned musicals floors. Burhan G, Rasmus Mountain’s John Mogensen Show, Rugsted & Kreutzfeldt, Stig Ross, and countless TV shows, just to name a few of them as callers LarsDK in. There is a picture of an incredibly versatile musician who knows his genres and manages to play music with heart. Speaking of heart … A late night time on the way home over the Great Belt Bridge led a talk with friend and colleague Bobo Moreno, for a mutual challenge; They should each especially, like dogma, the following week write 3 songs to kick each other in once again with the songwriting … and it helped! For Lars, the beginning of songwriting has been about breaking own boundaries. When one like him has been playing professionally since the age of 9, you have been paying attention many good songs and it may scare a little. But now the time was ripe to be brave and it opened to one, until now closed, musical lock… more than 50 songs toppled out of Lars, and now they are best selected so that Denmark can listen to LarsDK’s amazing songs. The lyrics are about children, family, boyfriends, marriage, parents, siblings, and ups & downs … in short; songs about growing and ending as an adult. The songs are written in a mood of westcoast, country, gospel and disco, and with very deep roots in the Danish pop tradition. The songs are hand-played by some of the very best musicians we have in the country and The North, and makes up today’s template music, in its “not hunting” on it fast hit. LarsDK is a fantastic pianist and a fabulous singer and he shows that fortunately on this album… closer does not come LarsDK.
